2022 #77 Yankee Barlow thread

2019 in African Blackwood just to keep the excitement flowing. These are my favorite GEC made Barlows. The bolster stamp is the bee’s knee’s IMO.

To sway the opinion back toward the stag - I had the wood sent directly to GEC (years ago) so I haven't seen it. But Bill commented that most did not have a lot of character (which is typical of olive). But it has such a great story, I wanted it on a knife.
The story of the wood IS the character of the wood. Still in for olive wood if I should be so lucky.
 
Based on the new pics of the NF barlow, the bolster stamp does not have the inset black in the logo. Did Bill use a different stamp or bolster material? I know this has been mentioned before on the last TC barlow run but I can't find the answer. Why no black inset on this new run?

Managed to get in on the reservation. I'm hoping for stag but got in toward the tail end of the reservation and will be happy with any of the covers.
