Osage is one of the most rot resistant woods available.

Also used for fence posts, and if you have to cut the stuff with a chain saw I hear you should make sure your chain is sharp or it will take forever.

I'm not an expert, may be incorrect info, off the top of my head I think it's one of the most durable wood routinely offered by GEC. I'm sure someone that knows for sure will chime in, but I'd say iron wood first probably followed by rod sucker because how it's sourced and then Osage Orange?

I think Osage, gabon ebony and ironwood are all very close in hardness and rot resistance.

Genuine lignum vitae 4300 janka scale, is worth seeking out for a custom, but I doubt GEC would be able to find a enough AA grade to do a run. Desert ironwood is about 3200 janka scale.

You can….I’ve seen a couple of the 35 lone star knives in yellow bone on the bay.

I'm a bit surprised there isn't a bit more buzz around this release. Weren't folks clamoring for stainless not so long ago?

Maybe if GEC would tell us a bit more about the other variations...
