2022 Case Vault - Small Swell Center Jack

I have a yellow delrin, cv, Barlow from that run, but I think it was an SFO through a dealer (non BF sponsoring so will remain nameless). As discussed above, there will probably be some SFO's out there that aren't standard issue.
Yep, I have one of those also Mike, and you are right it was an SFO. I picked up mine when we were vacationing at the Lake of the Ozarks from the dealer in the Hills.
😉👍

SHC is taking preorders on the 25-1/2 and I put my ticket in for the dark red bone CV.

This sure ain't amber jigged which is kind of a bummer, but that shield is really cool and it honestly has me a bit more excited for this knife because I didn't even notice the shield before.

Once a nice patina forms it's all going to look good with the dark red bone and that cool shield.

Me, too.... I hope that during this run, they come out with some wood shields, as well.... curly maple, or curly oak.... ebony would be a treat... but they definitely need more CV/carbon ones.....

I know it's a long shot, but there may be hope for amber jigged and CV after all.

I don't think it's very often that Case does a pattern in both steels with the same cover material but they did it here, I know it's a fancier version but nonetheless it's an SS 6225-1/2 in dark red peachseed bone which is also being used with CV.
This tells us Case is willing to do a particular pattern and cover option in both steels.

It's likely not going to happen and I'm probably pretty safe in my assumption that amber jigged has essentially been reserved to SS blades for the 25-1/2, but it clearly isn't out of the question and I have my fingers crossed.

If it were a possible operation and cost effective I would consider buying 2 knives and having the covers swapped to get the knife I want if I had to.

They're pretty good with their photoshop work aren't they ?
I just noticed it's the same exact dsrk red bone covers on that SS flag shield version.

I do like that shield, unique, I don't think I have seen it before. I do wish Case would stop adding their name to the shields, generally the shield is too small, name looks scrunched and just doesn't come off looking good. I am looking forward to seeing these start to pop up, I have seen a brown maple burl wood 25 1/2 that I would like to pick up, blades are stainless, but that doesnt really bother me too much with Case knives.

I'm still wavering on pre-ordering one of the cayenne bone models... those really look classy. At least (so far) Case has not been like GEC, where they evaporate on the first day of the drop... hopefully I'll have time to ponder, and hold off to see what "special" ones they make....

I thought about that after putting my preorder in, it's really not necessary here but I figured it'd be nice to get mine ASAP.
My preferences in knives are a bit particular at times and it's not too often that theres something coming out to really get me excited, so I wanted to really jump right in with this one.

There tends to be mostly disappointment for me with current production knives.

I really like the cayenne but I don’t like the busy bolsters.

Liking this one a lot. Will have to keep an eye on other cv releases. The only modern case I’ve bought is a sodbuster jr from 2016 or so. How has their qc been lately? I would likely have to order online without chicken eyeing the knife first

I've had really good luck with buying them online..... most of the ones I've bought have been excellent. Most of the vendors are good about replacing one if by some chance you get one that slips by the QC folks, from what I hear.
