I think the Tidioutes outshined the Northfields on this run. Always a sucker for a Federal or bowtie shield and plain bolsters.81's on Veterans Day.....

My acrylic came yesterday, and I just love it! I feel the micarta is a little ho hum on these, plus I prefer the corset shield.I'm trying to decide between a red onion micarta or coffeehouse acrylic. I think the acrylic may have a little more character to it. What do you guys think?
I was really leaning towards the acrylic. I guess the textured feature had kind of sparked my interest as well. I could just get both both and settle itMy acrylic came yesterday, and I just love it! I feel the micarta is a little ho hum on these, plus I prefer the corset shield.
The construction and sophistication of these is amazing. From a time when pocket knives were purpose built, regardless of cost considerations.
If a fella (or gal) had to skin a lot of game, they would be well served to have picked up an extra or two. The blades on these are purpose built for skinning. Very thin, slicey and borderline dainty.I was really leaning towards the acrylic. I guess the textured feature had kind of sparked my interest as well. I could just get both both and settle it, but im trying to limit myself to one of those two options

What are the rules or guidelines for an EDC type knife? Not a general-purpose jack, or EDC type knife at all, tho the old timers would have used it as such, no problemo!
How do you like the acrylic? Does light highlight different colors? The texture add a different aspect to the color? I'm sure the texture helps with grip as wellWhat are the rules or guidelines for an EDC type knife?
I have been carrying the coffee house the past two weeks with much success. It seems to me that there are many purpose built knives that's purpose has faded with history that many members of this forum carry and use regularly. Probably because everyone's everyday is different and everyone has a different skill level with the blade.
The blades are much more capable and strong than people give them credit for, the key is proper use.![]()
The light makes the acrylic pop. Mine does not has as many swirls of brown as other I've seen, it is still interesting though. How do you like the acrylic? Does light highlight different colors? The texture add a different aspect to the color? I'm sure the texture helps with grip as well
