Here’s my uniformed guess. Serpentine keeps the same width of handle on both ends of the knife, like a snake. Dogleg swells at the butt end, like a dog’s leg.

Yeti sighting in Hawaii. The fit and finish are top notch. I think I would prefer if it were a single lambfoot though.
I would agree with this too.The lambsfoot foot fits so nicely in the 93 frame with just a thin line of the blade protruding, the lines of the knife are quite perfect. With the 88 frame it is quite the opposite to my eye, the straight back of the lambsfoot breaking up the lines of the beautiful serpentine frame. The clip fits in quite beautifully. Nothing to do with function just aesthetics to me.

Now that I finally have one in hand I can say that this is a fine knife as is and will not be modifying this one. The lambsfoot seems to have a similar profile to the two blades a stockman would have just in a one piece package. Similar, not exactly but close enough.
If I decide to modify my second version, it will be to make it a single clip and delete the lambsfoot. This decision would be purely aesthetic for me. I wouldn't normally make such a generous offer, but I'm willing to take those ugly 88s off your hands for a reasonable discount.I would agree with this too.
I think the long slim Lambsfoot blade needs a long slim handle to compliment all the lines.
And the Clip Point follows the curves of the serpentine frame beautifully.
Whoa! Who said anything about an ugly knife?I wouldn't normally make such a generous offer, but I'm willing to take those ugly 88s off your hands for a reasonable discount.![]()
Purely in jest, compadre. I actually agree with your observations. But I still like it, in part because it's such a unique frame/blade combo.Whoa! Who said anything about an ugly knife?
This was a discussion about if one were to modify the current knife. Besides everyone knows that ugly knives require extra handling and packaging therefore it would an up charge sir.![]()
Since I'm not buying one, you'll have to look elsewhere.I'm willing to take those ugly 88s off your hands for a reasonable discount.
Whoa, why didn’t I think of that!Besides everyone knows that ugly knives require extra handling and packaging therefore it would an up charge sir.![]()
