2022 GEC Bayou Trapper #88 Thread

I changed my mind !!!! No sooner had I said earlier in this thread that I wasn't going to get one of these Green Jigged Bone versions of the Bayou Trapper, I ordered one. Pretty nice knife overall. I still think the shield should be half the size it is but then that's just my opinion. Further, a fancier jigging (i.e., the Waynorth Lambfoot knife) would have been much better but again, that's just my opinion. I took these pictures in subdued lighting so the green coloring of the bone does not show well but is very nice in brighter light.

That button/magnet was calling you.😉

I'm still content with my yeti 88, but I was able to land both a black micarta and swamp green jigged bone version too, and I hope to recieve them both within a week.

Just from the picture, I'm thinking I may want to round off the point on the spine of the clip blade.

I think that would take the "rat" out of the Muskrat Rachel r8shell r8shell . When handling mine today, or the other two I have, I didn't even notice the point of the Muskrat blade's spine. I think if you rounded that point, it would ruin the looks of the knife's profile.

If anything, I think it would nicely follow the curved lines of the handle. I don't mean to take a lot off, and I'd only do it if the point happens to hit a nerve on the inside of a knuckle. I hate when that happens.

I'll know when it gets here, I guess.

You know I was just pondering on the last drop seconds ago between the green swamp bone and desert ironwood and they both sold out in seconds 🙄 as I saw the 195 price point 🫣
Then this fell into my lap made in 2006 NIB one of 600 made at the queen factory
Schatt&Morgan Cutlery Keystone Series #16 #042163 Rail Splitter Moose × 1
Dunno maybe it was a blessing In disguise but we will see 🤔

I cannot stand how that particular retailer takes all the knives they recieve out of the tubes for photos and also charges way more than MSRP.
