That would be a fine knife, this one will have to do till that one gets made. For me at least.Well, for me, the 35 pattern has had all the blades that would make the perfect 35 pattern, in my mind's eye. The clip blade from the Churchill (this would need to be double offset ground, to account for the opposing sheepsfoot on the same spring, then on the second spring, Charliewaynorth 's punch from his sfo opposed by a spay. Stout. My main is 6-7, secondaries are 5-6. Could use a good flush to clean up the feel of the action. This knife has no half stops. These are looking awesome!!! How are the pulls on everyone knives??
Smooth. These are looking awesome!!! How are the pulls on everyone knives??
I always thought if there's a Barlow then it is KOTY no doubt. Only 8511 could beat the Barlows now. Or some really hot PPP. Which reminds of our upcoming BF knife, which is actually a start of a new pattern, right?Look out 88, there's another contender for KOTY honors in the ring.
I merely stated it was a contender, some folks were crowning the 88 in May. I pointed out then that the sfos from Mike on the 77 run were amazing and that there was 7 months left in the year. This knife is pretty amazing as well, and Bill Howard and his team are doing some good things up there in PA.I always thought if there's a Barlow then it is KOTY no doubt. The pulls on mine are right where they need to be. Strong and crisp, but by no means a nail breaker. My spear was pretty gritty, but improved greatly with an oil flush. There was still some black crud left in the springs from the factory. Good and smooth now. These are looking awesome!!! How are the pulls on everyone knives??
Nope.Besides Barlows are getting kind of boring don't ya think.
