That's a weighty one, trifle obeseI got mine today and very pleased. Blades have nice pulls and snap. No blade rub so far. The Spear felt a little gritty but improved after an oil flush and blow out. Great looking knife! It's a little on the heavy side being a 3 blade. Mine weighed in at 96.7 grams.
First stock/cattle knife since 2018. Only the second multi blade in the last two years. 14 jacks of some sort plus 4 Barlows. Yes, I'm sticking with my call for more variety.NO!!!![]()
Better wording!!First stock/cattle knife since 2018. Only the second multi blade in the last two years. 14 jacks of some sort plus 4 Barlows. Yes, I'm sticking with my call for more variety.
I never thought about it. But caplifter can actually be considered as a blade. Or by multi you mean more than 2?Only the second multi blade in the last two years.
They are considered blades in the scout knife universe, for sure.I never thought about it. But caplifter can actually be considered as a blade.
Jack knives are any knife where the blade or blades/tools come out the same end of the knife. Multi blade both ends. Then the are further sorted into types and patterns. So for multi blade since the beginning of 2021 we have the 38, 68, and now the 35.I never thought about it. But caplifter can actually be considered as a blade. Or by multi you mean more than 2?
Isn't "blades on both ends" called a pen knife? I've read Levine, but honestly don't remember a "multi blade knife" term.Jack knives are any knife where the blade or blades/tools come out the same end of the knife. Multi blade both ends. I unfortunately do not have Levine's guide and what I have gathered I have read on the pages of this fine forum. He is a picture from a post. I believe a pen knife would be a subcategory of multi blade.Isn't "blades on both ends" called a pen knife? I've read Levine, but honestly don't remember a "multi blade knife" term.

Well pleased with this one. Near perfect fit and finish and great, equal action on all three blades. A flush of the joints will only make it better.MEDIA=imgur]a/s4BNSVN[/MEDIA]
The Red 'Winterbottom' type bone really suits this one. Just wondering what other scales are in the pipeline, any info?
It's a fine 'trio' the Churchill had a great blade arrangement, the 2016 Forum Knife had style and now this sturdy and relatively rare type.![]()
Man, you should definitely get it, Fourth edition for sure. It is worth it, trust me. I've seen some US stores still have them.I unfortunately do not have Levine's guide
Just checked, there 3 categories: jack, pen, and multi-blade. Yeah... My knowledge is getting blurry over time, I guess, sorry.I believe a pen knife would be a subcategory of multi blade.
So you say the other one isn't Cattle? Nice! Hope for a Harness! From my intel, there will be just this one scale offered on the Cattle knife.
Great minds, I ordered one about an hour ago.Man, you should definitely get it, Fourth edition for sure. It is worth it, trust me. I've seen some US stores still have them.
