I’ve got two of the Saunters on order. The pattern appeals to me on several levels but mainly the short blade in proportion to the handle and the blade shape.I intend to purchase a 112 Sport and maybe a 112 slim in the orange G-10. The Saunter interests me, but there's a lot of competition at that price. I think I need to see one in person. I just don't see the value in the Legacy Sprint or the 501. I like both patterns a lot, but they seem way overpriced to me. By a bunch.

I expect Buck to offer a standard version at a cheaper price in a few months.
I’m not sure when I’ll receive mine as I ordered them from a consignment dealer who may not even have them yet.
All are very nice, especially the Vintage Tribute 112, but they are all way out of my fiscal reach.
It does seem like Buck could make some money off this, but maybe the profit margin is small enough, it's not worthwhile. Or more likely they're worried they'll be overwhelmed by warranty claims for disassembled knivesBlacksprucy that is the beauty of the Take-Apart concept. Some of us like to play with our toys and the T-A makes it easier. Not as easy as a Selector but doable. When Buck first came out with it I thought FOR SURE Buck would sell loose blades and handles (plus the tools and parts) in the Custom shop. But that hasn't happened yet. I firmly believe if Buck offered us the opportunity it would really take off lol!
It appears the tech preserved most,if not all, of the front lower bolster when grinding the finger grooves.Received the 50th 112s today:

They might be different colors, but it could also be due to uncalibrated monitors and color editingVery nice.
Seems like people are receiving the O.D Green sport models varying from tan to green. Mine 110 Sport looks green but have seen some on here that look more tan in color.
Night and day difference in color. Thanks.its more camera settings and lighting....
