Any final guesses now that there have been a few reviews posted?
I believe my original guesses were 52100, Cruforge V, W2, or if it was <1% C then maybe 80crV2.
Now that Ellie has described it as less common steel, I'll drop the 52100 and go with Cruforge V or W2 steel.

I agree Cruforge V seems like the logical choice but I have no experience with it. Still wishing it was M4 though.After sending most of my morning doing research I'm going to agree with chiral.grolim and say Cruforge V. It's in the ballpark with the carbon content, it makes an extremely durable knife steel, it's manufactured by Crucible and Guy seems to be using their products almost exclusively and it has already been mentioned so all of the clues point to Cruforge V.
