4-Max?! USA Made, CPM-20CV, Cold Steel?! This can't be happening!

Anyone realized that the 4Max's blade looks very different from CS's latest 2016 catalog? Just FYI, looks pretty good, they went from FFG like to high saber grind.
 
Cold Steel pulled a Surefire (flashlight people will get the reference)....
 
I don't care if it takes another year. If the rest of the Tri-Ad lineup are anything to go by, and if the specs remain the same, this will be my favorite folder for the foreseeable future.

And the blade went from being two tone polished to stone washed, that means cheaper so the price better adjust accordingly. It's about 30 times cheaper to chuck a blade in a tumbler than to have a guy stand and polish each blade. If not, then I hate to say it but I'm out:(

Yeah, this "newer" version is not one I'd want. Not a fan of that grind or shape. What's the point of it being stronger if it won't cut as well as my $50 Voyager?
 
Well, if they end up with that grind and a stonewash finish, I'm out. :thumbdn:
One of the things I liked about the 4Max was the FFG and the satin finish.

That would be a shame, because that is exactly what I want: a semi-custom version of an AL on steroids... except for the hollow grind.

Also I liked the finish on the other one. I like the old contrast of colors. I think CS is trying too hard with this one, constant edits like George Lucas to Star Wars. No one liked his edits and I see the same disappointment/confusion as the effect here. The original was my favorite even with the visible grind marks, i thought it gave it a crude look.

With this new image, even still I don't know what to expect as the final copy. I dont want it to be the Darth Vader "NOOOOOOOOOOO"

I'd probably be okay with the hollow and bead blast finish, but not stonewash and the new shape.
 
All the ones I've seen look cool. I'm weird that way.
Where can I see the stone washed version?
