The race just announced that more than 2 million LIVE fans saw the race these past 9 days. All free tickets for the fans, too.

If you ever get a chance to see a pro bike race, definitely check it out. It's free, and seeing 200 people taking a 90 degree turn at 50 mph is always fun, especially when the tires are 1 inch wide!

The times you see next to Leipheimer and Zabriskie are totals for the last 8 days of racing and the difference behind the fastest time for those in 2nd, 3rd, etc.

To make sure that I pick the highest finishing rider from among the ones in this contest, I'm waiting for the results from Stage 8 to be posted on the Amgen Tour of California website. I apologize for the delay and will announce the winner as soon as I can. I think I know who the highest finishing rider is but want to confirm rather than cause problems if I'm wrong.
