52100 Recon Scout

I found them but was just wondering why only one site aside from an auction site seems to have them and other major sites don't, not even in the "coming soon" section, even though the Kukri has been out for some time already.
that one site is a drop shipper and they are using the distr. inventory system though their website. so it's the distributors live inventory. other dealers are stocking dealers and so they wouldnt list them in stock until they received them.

Is that the 3V Recon Scout or Trailmaster?

I've seen the R
econ Scout in that range at times but not the Trailmaster.

I have a 3V Recon Scout and its probably my idea of the ultimate heavy field knife. But, for some reason, I have this strong desire to buy another in 52100 😁 as long as there's a decent price difference between the two, I think the 52100 version will sell like hotcakes! If its only $30, that'll require some thought. It should be a cheap knife to make, slide the guard on, secure it with the little tabs, slide the rubber sleeve on and secure it with the lanyard tube! The price may settle down a little on these, but the current price at CKW is still a good value!

Here's a review for all the Italians on the forum 😁 It looks like it held up well!

For what it's worth, I checked my 3V Recon Scout (bought new in early 2022) and the grinds are clean, even, and flawless.

Edit to add: I also checked my O1 Trail Master (2018) and it is similarly even and flawless (except for wear and tear added over time). Not exactly comparable, but I think indicative of the continuity of quality over time and after changing corporate structure. Hopefully that will not change for the worse.

Price is good too at around 120.00 Also im glad it came out in 52100 and 3v rather than 4034 like we heard a few years ago....
I'm sure we were not the only ones discussing it, but it wouldn't surprise me if we gave them the idea, or helped push it along a little. They know about this sub forum and Lord knows we pushed for these knives in a low cost, high value carbon steel. I say we take the credit! 😁

I can't wait for some serious testing, even Joe X type testing. 52100 is no joke and I'm really curious about how it stacks up against SK-5, which is a great steel and a smart move. I won't be shocked if they start selling a dressed up version with Micarta handles! I never would've thought I'd say that, but here we are! Way to go Cold Steel!
