How are the sheaths? Do they dull the knife's edge as some say?

Yeah, they will dull the edge but that's the same with all secure-ex sheaths from Cold Steel. Just get in the habit of pushing the spine upwards when drawing the knife to avoid dragging the edge along the inside of the sheath and you should be fine. Eventually I will get the gumption to send mine in for a custom kydex or leather sheath, but so far I've been too lazy.

this one on mine has more space in a good way. I think you'd have to try to dulll it to get it to dull.....

The stock sheath on mine is good with no rattle and it depends on the guard for retention. I make my own kydex sheaths and go for tight fits, so the coating is scratched on my RS.

I'm still working on the RS sheath to try and trim it down and waiting on some belt clips. Below is some older work with a TM clone (don't have these knives anymore).

I trimmed down my RS sheath at bit and here's some comparison picks with the stock sheath. The RS is still a bit big for me, so I may try the SR series in the future.
