I am perfectly fine with either of the handle material choices as long as the color doesn't end up being tan. It would look too much like this years 104 except with an uncoated blade.
Thats why I was kind of hoping for a checkered wood handle.

Maybe they can groove the micarta handles or put some kind of design into it. Or possibly even lazer something into it like the Buck knives logo with Al Buck and his anvil.

I just received my new Buck 501 from DL trading with SS bolsters and green canvas micarta. The burlap micarta on my SK Blades 501 has substantially more texture than this canvas micarta. Wasn't a fan of this green micarta to start with and am now less impressed with it in hand :-(.

Man, this has been crazy close all the way through!

skblades skblades any chance we can get an idea of what the color choices for canvas micarta may be? That might make the choice between the two easier for some folks.

Whichever way we go, this is shaping up to be a dandy of a knife!

Wow close race! I am really good with any of the choices, but a matching set with my other SK offerings would be nice.:)

The Burlap 110 and 501 I have from Skblades is about the same as smooth bone, wood, g10, or the canvas Micarta handle material that are on my knives. I personally don’t have any problems with the grip on polished Burlap and I think the contour and shape of the 104 compadre should help with grip. About the only thing I can think that would help more would be grooves or jigging to give texture.

As the BM handle votes continue their march to the front, my money will be spent elsewhere..;)

For this knife I prefer a handle that isn't so polished and smooth like the burlap on my 501 is and to a lesser degree I prefer a different color with this knife too. My first hope was that wood was going to be an option but it never was then I was hoping for Canvas or Linen Micarta.

Clarification on Burlap and Canvas. They are going to both be slick IF you polish.

They will both be the same "grippiness" when left raw. My bad on that.
Few questions. I'm assuming we will vote on handle color. Can we get the anvil cutout in the top corner like previous hatchets? And will the buck logo be stamped or etched? Thanks looking forward to grabbing one.
