G10 all the way. Not purple...

Dark brown or forest green sculpted G10. Sheath should be natural leather.

G10 feels like stone in my hands. I think I might have wimpy hands. I do like the toughness of G10 a lot though.

Does Buck still offer natural leather for their sheaths? I've seen some vintage Buck sheaths that were natural (beautiful) but haven't come across anything recent. I bet someone in this thread will know. I've really been liking the look and feel of Buck's distressed leather personally.

Judging by current poll results, it would appear Ivory linen micarta is dead.

skblades skblades will there be a poll on polished vs unpolished for the burlap or canvas winner?
good question, Sir. curious too on that. might change voting if we get a yes.....

My burlap 110 and 501 appear to be polished, am I right? I voted burlap to match these knives, so I would vote polished too.

Linen is probably the tightest pattern material, Canvas right behind. Both could go unpolished. But I'm not so sure about burlap. It's not as tight and there is lots of glue or whatever they use to layer it. I'm not sure it would look good unpolished. Thoughts?

The unpolished Burlap I’ve seen some were darker and some kinda dull/dry hazy like canvas does before you oil or break it in. With use it will naturally get some wear polishing. If the Burlap or the canvas is unpolished I’ll probably buff them a bit to bring out the colors.

Actually I’m not to concerned about polished or what ever it ends up with. I’ll be using it as a camping/ outdoor work knife so after a while it won’t be as pretty anyway. Now if it had some embellishments or exotic materials I’d be scared to use it for fear of scratching or marring it and then it would look like a queen dressed like a vagrant going to a ball.

g10 and linen micarta voters should change to second favorite pick. might as well have some say if ya plan on buying regardless of winner.......
I voted linen for the distant (as in beyond Pluto) chance that ivory micarta would win.
I'd change my vote to my third choice (my second choice is G10) but my third choice is a coin toss between the canvas and burlap.

Honestly, I'll be happy with any of these choices, and will buy one, if I can.

Not likely. I plan on making the executive decision on that, most likely with my hands on a sample. If burlap is chosen, we will not polish it. It looks great, and I think the knife needs a functionality like grip.:thumbsup:

I voted for canvas as I like the wavy feature. But will be happy with either as the unpolished/grippier handle is better for a user.
