6 New Zero Tolerance Folders Announced at the 2016 SHOT Show

I loved my 0452CF so much I finally bought a CF scale for my 0450 about a month ago. Looks and feels awesome at 2.4oz, and always thought thats how they should have sold it right from the start. Then here comes the 0450CF! Glad to see it.

since swapped black screws on the heel.

The 0456 and 0450CF are at the top of my list from this year's releases. The 0456 looks awesome, and I've really liked that sheepsfoot blade profile for my EDC uses. The 0450 is already one of my favorite EDC blades, and the CF scale and green standoffs make it that much more appealing to me. I'm looking forward to trying out the 0220 as well. I've never tried an Anso design, and this one does look pretty cool. The 0095BW finally brings that pattern into reach for me (its predecessors both being LE's). The 0909 looks interesting, as I do like the 0900 a lot. The 0804CF also looks like a very clean design. Both of those are on the larger end of the spectrum for me though.

I'm pretty excited about a few of the new models also. I never really thought I would love toting around a knife over 4 oz until my 562CF showed up. Now I actually carry two, adding something a bit smaller just so I have the option when needed (depending on environment).

By the way, welcome to the forum. Don't forget to show pics of what you have and like.

OT: I have family that summers on Hebgen, so I've spent a lot of time tromping around West Yellowstone. What a great area.

Hey man. Thank you for the welcome. I have spent countless hours on here, researching different knifes. I can't believe that I haven't joined bladeforums, until now. I enjoy and respect many opinions on here. I'm excited to be apart of this community.

I have quite a few knives and I would love to share them. Maybe in the next week or two, I'll start a thread and title it- "A few of my favorite things." Keep an eye out for it. I'd love to see some of the knives that everyone here has collected. I have only reached the point of high end production and mid-techs. It should be fun.

OT2: Hebgen lake is in my area. If your family spends time out Deny Creek road (Lonesomehurst, Romset, and Cozy Corners), Madison Arm, or North of Hebgen...I'm sure that I have ran into them before. I work for Fall River Electric. If there power has went out, there is a fairly good chance that I was working.😊

Just checked GPknives and the 0450cf, 0804cf, 0909, and 0095BW are in stock! I was expecting them to come out 2nd quarter like ZT's SHOT releases in the past, but before the end of January this year? Awesome job ZT!

Major kudos to ZT for actually getting these to dealers so quickly and bucking the trend where items shown at SHOT are not on the market till Q3/Q4 at best. It's almost a running joke these days at SHOT that some of the most hyped items will be "new releases" at the next SHOT too. The 0909 is tempting just because I had a Talos and really liked the blade/handle shape but the smooth TI handles were just way too slippery. Too bad they didn't put some functional jimping on it, that would have put it over the top.

Yup, I'm sure you know the place. They are on Rumbaugh Ridge and got electricity for the first time in 60 or 70 years.

And to stay on topic just a bit.... Here's a few of the family that the new 2016 models will be joining. [emoji41]

How do you like your 0180? I'm considering it as my next knife purchase.

That's funny I was going to ask the same question. How does the steel hold up? Do you find the 4in blade to short?

Sorry off topic.

No worries. Obviously blade length is a matter of personal preference, but I think it's perfect for what I do. Certainly not a size to go whacking through a jungle. But I think it's perfect for most bush crafting tasks, and more. And the Vanadis4E takes a pretty amazing edge. Also love the balance and ergos. It just feels great in the hand. Solid performer.

I keep forgetting who did a hard use test one one. Maybe he'll see this and put a link to his video. After beating the crap out of a 180, he added a custom scale and it looks amazing. If I can find the link, I'll edit this post.

It was Bodog. Not sure how to copy a thread link in tapatalk, I'll try finding it in a browser.
