#6375 Case Large Stockman

I have to say that just about every Case that comes clad in earth tones, such as in amber bone, looks so much better than its siblings clad in other bone colors.

^^^ NAB ^^^ Ah you have one of the Chestnut versions (that 2000's one on bottom)? Nice! Now ref the 70's era one... is it the same dimensions (4.25")? No changes other than the shield/font or scale colors?

Mine has not left my presence since it arrived on Thursday. Yesterday it rode unnoticed in the RFP of my Carhartt style work pants. Didn't notice it or it's heft at all. Even at home in the casual shorts I wear around the house it's no bother. So far I'm very impressed with it.

My grandfather always carried a large stockman. I gave my little brother all his old knives. I've been eyeballing a few Case large stockmans and this thread isn't helping my wallet.
Arizonaranchman that is a keeper

I've been eyeing the 6375 for awhile now and am trying to decide on a new amber bone CV or pay the premium and get me a mint '71 red bone version for the simple fact it looks awesome. Question for all you Case users and collectors, which is the nicer knife and why?

I have no clue but interested in the answer to that Blademan. IE: How are the recent production Cases comparable to earlier years of production? I've heard some periods were better and others worse, then they improved QC again, etc. How are the last couple years' quality standards compared to past years? This 6375 here is a 2012 year model and it's excellent for a $40-$50 price range.

It's only been five days, but it hasn't been out of arm's reach since it arrived!

A glamour shot out on a fence post...

Great looking knife you have there. I have that same knife. Case does a good job on the Amber Bone jigging on the larger patterns like that. I guess the larger size leaves more room for the deeper, darker tones in the middle that don't get polished down by the hafting process.

That would make sense... The smaller the scales get the more difficult they are to work with in any great detail.

Nice write up.

I carry these too. These knives are a great bang for the buck, they look and work great at day to day tasks.

The Case 6375 is a very nice Stockman - I've got one in the 1999 Pocketworn Blue Bone. The big Stockman that I carry when ever I hunt is this Buck 307 - very similar. OH

Great pics OH! When you have a Stockman you basically have THREE knives in hand - blades can be dedicated to this or that task, how great is that? :)

The size is the same, but the sheepsfoot blade is much smaller. It is the same size as the one on a 92 pattern stockman. The main blade is slightly different with the nick slightly forward and a bit of forward/downward cant to it.

Old pic

^^^ I did get a good one, very pleased with it :)
It performed kitchen and dinner table duties with ease last night - a big steak on the grill :D

I was THIS CLOSE to going yellow when I picked the large Stockman, but I just had to try the Amber bone on this one. My Sodbuster Jr and one of my two Peanuts are "yella" and I really like the smooth yellow Delrin on Case knives.
