#78 American Jack

Received this one earlier this week and tried to get some photos but the covers kept coming out too dark. This one has some dark mahogany coloration with swirls...finally had some decent natural light for pics today...nonetheless a 78 Coco in the house.

Apologies to all especially TheFactor I was trying to post a reply to your post of my inbound #78 and it looks like I managed to disappear it, hopefully one of the moderators can fix it.

Just poking around in the Trade forum and looks like the whole world wants a CK SFO Natural Canvas Micarta 78. The thing is though, I don't recall seeing many pictures of those posted here and haven't seen a single one up for grabs anywhere. Anyone have an idea of production numbers on that one, seems like the most desired of the lot yet equally absent.

My #78.

Put my edge on it and sanded the piece of tang sticking out when closed lightly. I do this to all GEC's I'm carrying and not plan to sell to minimize pocket wear. I really don't understand why they leave these so sharp when everything else is so nicely finnished. Maybe it has something to do with the aesthetics of the transition between handle and blade when the knife is open?

Anyways, LOVE this knife and pattern.

knifeswapper knifeswapper Mike, do you think GEC could do some repair work on this one? I hate to give up on it, because the stag is so nice.

I think they did - otherwise it would be a large white circle. You can tell from around the backspring nail that there is some black filler present. Someone must have missed that as it should have been an "S" model.
