Finally the #78 has landed also in Sweden!
It's been a long wait and in the meantime I have drooled over the pictures of this jawsdropping run of #78's.
It sure is a great model and here's mine:

I'm very pleased with the knife and the opportunity to get one in stag that met my wishes.

Regards
Mikael

This is my first foray into GEC, and I have to say, I really dig these 78s. I really wish I could have snagged one of the Ironwood SFOs. I'll probably try to trade my Peach Seed for one if I can't buy one outright. Here's to wishful thinking.

Beautiful! They look good in a group. You definitely got in at the right time with the 78s.

Oh my!!! Wonderful knife, fantastic photo.

Mikael W Mikael W that one is gorgeous. Great figuring!
Thank You and Yours have great colors!

Very nice Mikael, well worth the wait:cool::thumbsup:
Yes it was, but You and Kiro scored exeptionally well.

So BEAUTIFUL, Mikael! Congrats on such a nice knife. Those covers are to die for.

Yes and there were so many beautie's to choose from or already gone, but regardless I'm totally pleased with this one.
When I saw this knife I decided at once and didn't even took the time to browse the alternatives.
A good move it seems as 3-4 more knives were gone before I was finished.
I think the quality of the stagcovers on this run are at an overall higher level than before.

Mikael

You are absolutely right and stag is a favorite of mine for handles.
When I saw the build pic's of the stags coming up on the GEC site, I wished i could get one of those in the picture.
How likely is that?

Not much I realized, but look at the middle knife at the bottom and compare:

It's the same knife isn't it?
Anyhow, I'm very happy with this one.

I think the dark marks on the production picture knife in the middle at the bottom run farther toward the ends than on the one you got, but you definitely got a nice one!

Tell me about it sir, I succumbed to the tortoise SFO once I saw the photos (numbered bolsters were the clincher)...I'm up to like 9 of these 78's. This one fits right in with the shell family!

I'm not a huge fan of the acrylic covers but that photo is really appealing. I love the variety of shields, lined up like that.
