#78 American Jack

I'm not a huge fan of the acrylic covers but that photo is really appealing. I love the variety of shields, lined up like that.

I am not really a fan of acrylic either but once I saw the early photos of the 78 tortoise shell, I had to buy one. Glad I did as I really like it. Makes me think I might also like the pheasant feather also.

My revolving-door family of 78's, always expanding and contracting. The Natural Micarta holds the title of the shortest stay, basically came out for some photos and then off to another, much larger family.

Hard to pick a winner there man, but I have a soft spot for the jigged SFO, beeing satin finnished and all. Great shield to.

For me too, I just love the look and feel of the SMKW SFO, but the Ebony may be my favorite, it is a tossup between those two for sure. So far I just haven't found a micarta knife the I like, except maybe the new forum barlow, that being said though this CK SFO micarta was a great one, possibly the bet micarta knife I've handled including Northwoods. The stag is my least favorite of the ones I've got, I think I just like the slim profile of the bone and wood which the stag disrupts. My carry for the last week or so has been between the ebony and the jig bone SFO. I may expand my collection yet, blue bone, ironwood, but for now those are my picks of this run.

This thread finally pushed me over the edge. I had tried to resist... I don't like fat spear point blades that swell, and I generally prefer 2-blade jacks but I was afraid this pattern might be too bulky with the second spring. It's a handsome knife though, and I really liked the pattern on the jigged bone so I took a chance on a single blade. In addition to looking good, it feels good in the hand (though a lot of folks in this thread already know that). I think this one will be a keeper.

Picture chosen so it can do double duty in the Beverages and Blades thread.

Very nice. I do wish I had gotten one in jigged bone. Yours looks amazing. Which one is that?
I’m sorry I’ve had a few cold ones :)
So I’m not understanding your question as far as which one is the jig bone ?
But thanks all the same :D
I think your referring to the Peach Seed jigged bone which is a standard run pictured in the middle .
It’s one of my favs if that the one in question

Haha you answered it. I wasn't sure if it was Peachseed or Golden Brown.
