My cocobolo covered 78 arrived; I need to get it and my ebony one together for some photos when I get home tonight.
The fit and finish is what you would expect from GEC. The pull is close to what I call an 8 if the model 73 is a 10. The only issue is that the baxkspring is proud at the half stop position. My ebony one is the same. A well made knife!

Mine are proud at half stop too. That's what gives it that strong pull.

Here is my stag single blade. I'm extremely happy with it. Great fit and finish on all of my 78's. I especially like the pull from half stop to open. Feels and sounds great. These are the 3 that I'm going with. I decided to let one go(Appaloosa). It was a hard choice but there are many, many more GEC purchases in the future to worry about, lol.

Thank you, I really had to psyche myself up before I took the Dremel to my new knife although I had done an EO on my #25 Little Jack before.

I had intended to keep my jig bone 78 in as new condition , but the look of your daily user has me re thinking that idea , it feels real great in the hand and I guess I would of cracked sooner or later , so sooner it is.
