Thank you, my friend! The Ebony was so good I had to get two!Great photo and line-up Mark, love the variation of shields...interesting that you picked up two ebony NF book ends.![]()
The ebony IS amazing. The SFOs always get all the love and the net effect is that the standard runs can take on a pedestrian quality. But years after a run is released, it's often the standards that appear most wonderful after the dust has settled. I think this run may be like that. The smooth white bone is so classy and you are right, Ramrodmb, the ebony is amazing. I'm a BIG fan of bareheads. But I love the end cap on the ebony version for some reason. It just "works" so well. Also, I think the Tidioute jigged bone was great. A knife with an end cap represents a great opportunity for the factory to use long, linear jigging like that. I think the Tidioute jigged bones will look sweet with time and wear. But the ebony may well stand as the "belle of the ball" for this run.Thank you, my friend! Nice knives and I appreciate seeing them both together. I may have to look into acquiring one of these Churchills.I picked up an Ebony with a single blade. It is really a nice size and shape and lighter than I expected. Here it is with my Ebony 35 Churchill. Great knives!

Love the EO notches I've seen on these, that one is no exception. I assume everyone uses a dremel to cut the notch. Is it as simple as using a sanding drum and cutting it in the same shape as the drum radius?

Thanks so much for the offer! But I have the equipment and would enjoy doing the modification myself. I'm simply wondering what has worked well for others. My cocobolo 78 is pinchable but just barely. With wet fingers I still need to use the nail nick sometimes.I have a 2x72 belt grinder. I use a small wheel, I think it was 3/4". You could easily use a drum sander or dremel. Took all of ten seconds, then another thirty seconds hand sanding with 600 grit.
I like it so much with the notch, I wouldnt have it any other way.
Im new here but would gladly EO yours if you wanna send it my way. Im an honest dude.
