#9 Esquire

I got one, in spite of saying I wasn't going to (lesson: don't drink while surfing the net). It's a tad too small, but it's cute and I like the grooves more than I thought I would. Here are some pics. Lighting conditions are less than ideal, but I did color temperature correction to capture the knife's creamy ivory the best I could.

For comparison, here it is next to a few of the smaller GECs.

creamy ivory.

Great photos! Very nice character, creamy and delicious (enlarged for your viewing pleasure:-)

Looks great. Cisco Kid, you have impeccable taste in sub-3.5" knives.

Thank you, Sonnemann. I love these little things.

By the way, the knife is not scratched, it's all fingerprints and smudges from the packaging oil, as these pics were taken as I was unpacking the knife for the first time. I still have to wipe it before it can see pocket time.

Couldn't resist. Treated myself to the ivory with my tax return. The site says only 4 left so I'd jump on one if you don't want to miss out! Just hope it's as creamy as the one posted above

I couldn't decide between the Denim or the Gray Pearl Acrylic, so...
This is a knife that packs a lot of class into a small package.
The variety in the 09 line up is Neat.

I jumped on the band wagon and ordered a Tidioute Esquire in Chestnut Jigged Bone. I just can't warm up to those coined bolsters so a Northfield wasn't happening. Probably would have bought a Snakewood.

Good choice. I was planning to buy the Tidioute in the jigged bone. It looks really nice on the small frame.

I wasn't sold on the coined liner/bolster until I saw it in this material. Being able to handle it beforehand definitely made all the difference. The only other northfield there was the snake wood and I didn't care for it with the coined liners.

I think the coined liners will eventually catch on as more of them get out in the wild. Up close it almost looks like custom file work.

I just got mine in - in black horn - really beautiful little knife. But my goodness it's tiny. I don't think I've ever considered using the word "adorable" to describe any of my knifes before... but there it is.

Ivory esquire arrived today. Feels and looks great in hand. Really enjoy the long pull. The ivory is a beautiful off-white with nice grain running throughout it. I wish the coined liners added a little more grippiness but this will be my dress knife so I doubt it will ever matter. The coined liners/bolsters look great and not nearly as gaudy as they appear in some pictures online, at least not with the ivory covers.

I really like my little ebony, but seeing pics of those grey ones got to me. Mine should be here later this week.
