#9 Esquire

No idea. I personally like the looks of the #9 a lot. I plan on getting one in LVS. I get a real classy 1920s vibe off of these. I just hope they wont put a shield on the LVSs.
 
I have an LVS on order, I am very very excited for it. I read somewhere there will be no shield but can't find it...

Looks like no shield on these. I'm fine with that on such a small knife.

All right! I'm adding those to my "wanted" list. :)

To me those look much more like a "Sleeveboard" pattern than the #26. Too bad they already used the name. ;)

I wonder if that would be a suitable frame for a future Lobster pattern? GEC would have the market cornered for Lobster knives if they made one. :)
 
Oweeee...I wasn't going to go for one of these but that open picture has sealed the deal. Darn it. I love the slim look.
 
If they'd put a bail on it, I could see getting one. But for me, a knife that small only belongs on the end of a chain or a string. The White Owl/68 is about as small as I would want to go on a pen knife.

Actually, I think both are acrylic. Actual pearl is supposed(possibly) to be used on a Northfield version. These are all Tidioutes. I agree the white acrylic looks really good though.
 
I see. Somehow I was under the impression they were going to use real pearl for a run. But my memory's not so great...

I too think they will, its just that these 2 aren't it. They're part of the Tidioute acrylics. I'm not sure if the Northfield pearl is going to be actual MOP or Pearl looking glass based on GEC's Production schedule

Supposed to be a Northfield Genuine Mother of Pearl. Limited run. I think the Handle material list posted by Trand has some mistakes. The Northfield Blue Looking Glass and the Red Looking Glass are supposed to be Abalone Looking Glass, not Mother of Pearl. And the list says, under Northfield, Pearl Acrylic and Ivory Acrylic. I believe these should be Genuine Mother of Pearl and Genuine Elephant Ivory. I know you got the list from GEC's website, I think it's their mistake.

Thanks for the confirmation Bob. Yep, got it from GEC's site but I too have seen the production schedule mirror what you've posted and that's what I'm looking forward to :)
 
This is going to be a fun ride watching all of these various cover choices materialize. Never been much for the acrylics in general but I think they may be hard to resist on this pattern. That grey pearl is just great. These knives just look FUN! :D
 
I think the Acrylics are really best when they resemble the old Celluloids. Without the well known draw backs of Celluloid. And we're going to see some of those on the 09 Esquire. Starting with the Grey Pearl Acrylic!
 
I can't wait...snakewood will be traveling in my watch pocket frequently, much to the dismay of my snakewood Pemberton :D
