#9 Esquire

These look grest. For some reason I am strangely drawn to that pattern. I gotta get one of those pearl looking ones.

Just noticed Green acrylic ones on the finshing page, I like these a lot! The Master blade is rather short and similar to the Minor, and I still think for a scaled down knife, tip bolsters would've looked beter...but this one is getting me interested:D:thumbup:

The gray and white pearl acrylics are on the way and should start showing on dealer shelves in a few days. :)

That pearl acrylic looks like just vintage celluloid. And the pearl is wow!

Flashback time! Back in the day pearl colored celluloid was used on guitar pickguards and other lesser domestic items. We called it "mother of toilet seat."

The ebony reminds me of my #68, just a wee version : ) I'll be interested to see the NF stag versions though.

I have several Bruckmann knives with various celluloid patterns. I'm aware the celluloid break down problems, but it seems to me that all celluloid was not created equally. I find a lot of celluloid (and now acrylic) is rather bland, or else it's gaudy. But it really looks great in some of the old pearl / cracked ice / gray pearl variations. It has a depth, character, and uniqueness that other varieties lack. This particular gray acrylic from Great Eastern has the same effect.

Here's my favorite old stuff:

This will probably be my first GEC acrylic. I like small knives in general and the pen knives hold a special place in my ...ummm...accumulation.

On a knife this small I find a shield unnecessary. It would have to be a pretty little shield anyway or it would take up half the scale. :)

It does look pretty good...

Yes, it's going to be interesting to see how the Northfields turn out.

It could be that on such a small knife, less ornamentation might be better, so the Tidioute might in fact be the better of the two? But, I hear of Smooth Calico Bone on the Northfields, that's compelling....:D

Trand, those Greens look a treat don't they? Hope there's enough to go round:eek:

I am also interested in seeing the breakdown of how many of each handle are being made. I am sure some of those fancier handles on the northfields will be very limited
