Are there any knives in the 200$ range from BM that come close to this one color and value wise in other exclusives?

Did you check out the 710-1401 at Knifeworks?? Blue and black scales with M390......bad ass blade and the price is very good!
Knives Ship Free has the 908-1501......also a great blade, but little more cash.

I wish you didn't show me that stryker, I'm in love

You can't go wrong with either the 710-1401 or the 908-1501--I have both and wouldn't give up either. I'm a big fan of 710s in general and have two, the other being the classic model in D2, but that Stryker is awful yummy. BTW, Joe's got a 710 with custom scales that his kids gave him which is drop dead gorgeous.

Love that pic Chazz!!! LOVE that knife!!!
I have both also, and could never choose one over the other!!
Like Chazz said, my sons got together and surprised the shit out of me with a 710-1401 with their initials engraved on the blade!!
I loved the blue black scales, but I knew this was a special one so I had Steve Ketchen make a set of customs for it.
I know we aren't being much help Suzuki, but how the hell is it possible to choose just one Benchmade??
Joe
Obligatory knife porn!!!

I need that 908. I'd sell my large cf sebenza 21 for it, no lie

My Knife Art CF large Sebenza 21 is maybe my favorite knife, though you wouldn't know it by how used it looks. I love my 908-1501, too. The thought of selling one to pick up the other makes me cringe--like selling a child. :sorrow:

Gorgeous knives! Now which one should I get next, 940-1 or 908-1501?

I never could warm to the blade shape on the 940. I had a 940-1, but eventually sold it. I found a franken-knife here on the exchange--a 943 blade in a 940-1 CF handle and love the crap outta that one.

The CF on the Stryker is maybe the nicest CF of any in my collection and that 908-1501 was maybe the most perfect out-of-the-box of any knife I ever bought. If I had to pick which one to get first, I'd vote for the Stryker. Think it's a little cheaper (read, less expensive) than the 940-1. I like the M4 steel, too.

Here's an older pic of my hybrid 943 from its previous owner:

That is BAAAAD AAASSSSS Chazz!!
Love the blade profile on the 943 and can't understand why BM won't do a limited.

Nice thumb slice, Joe. Knife or ductwork?

The 943 rocks, man! I don't understand why BM doesn't do a little more with it either. Sweet grips on yours, for sure.

Good eye Steve!! Duct work right after cutting a hole with tin snips!! Talk about a toothy edge bro!!!

Had a 940, sold it, desperately wanted such a slim and elegant blade again, this time I made the "right" choice and got the 943. ;)
In my personal opinion it is simply the better and more useful blade shape.

Just ordered the Stryker 908-1501 m4 CF. last BM I owned was a M4 mini grip, years ago. I'm very excited.

And bring pics!!!
You're gonna love it!!

Kind of weird? I've been eyeing the 940 and the 710 for several months, when I saw the 908-1501 it was a very sudden, I have to have it! I'll bring Picts when it gets here. 👍

Exactly how I felt when I saw the Derrick B video showcasing the 908.......had to have it!!

Funny, that's about the same way I came to my Stryker. I already had the 710-1401. I'd just sold a knife and those hot dollars were burning their usual hole and I was thinking about the 940-1501 when the 908-1501 appeared. Watched Derrick's vid and, like Joe, pulled the trigger in an instant. It's one of my faves and isn't going anywhere but back and forth between the drawer and my pocket.

The picture of my CF beauty is from the back of my Polaris Ranger up at Camp in VT. The knife underneath is a G10 Axis Mini-Stryker in 154CM that's now one of my wife's EDCs.
