Congrats!

My 2016 AAPK Club Knife in Antique Green Jig Bone arrived this past Saturday, it's a GEC 748116. OH

I must've missed this one earlier...love that color and jigging! Nice one, OH!

I converted my Autumn Leaf Jigged Bone

to Chestnut Jigged Bone

Now all I need to do is start cuttin' stuff ;)

That came out great AL! My problem is that I like both now just as much - this would end up costing me double if it were me. :D

Many thanks my friends on the Heartland compliments :) ...This whole run produced some outstanding knives. James what a great thread, thank you for starting it!
Your welcome Drew, I'm thoroughly enjoying everyone's postings. Of course seeing your Heartlands has been one of the highlights for me.

AL, that's quite a conversion, much improved color, good job!! It'll probably even cut better. ;)
I might have to give that a try.

I think they ran out of dye and they used leftovers to finish mine. it looks NOTHING like the picture GEC posted on their site. LOL

Wow Luc.
I thought mine was yellowish .compared to your pic mine looks like it was born on Mars and raised on spinach.

right? I took it out of the tube and had to double check the top to make sure it was the right knife. LOL

yeah I actually kind of like it just because it's different :)

I think they are cool and unique being different, almost like a rare and collectible version.

Although a jigged bone Heartland was my top choice of the lot, I'm extremely happy with my two Stallions.

Congrats on being the first to show the Cougar Clawed Bone 74 Stallion with a Muskrat Clip Blade Ryan !!!! Probably a new record for the most Animal Names in the name of one knife . Yours looks pretty nice .

Harry

I think the new cougar bone is slightly different to that orange worm groove jigging (now called the cougar clawed worm grooved stallion?)

Thank you Harry

Ha ha, yeah I until you mentioned it, I hadn't thought of the muskrat part of the trifecta. I just kept thinking of that poor horse that crossed paths with a mountain lion.

I'm quite happy with both 74s. The NF has plenty of claw marks that don't run parallel (my personal preference). The green one is just about perfect (to me) as well.

I know the green came out in two batches, about a week apart. I wonder if those yellowish ones were all from the early batch. I ordered mine because I like their specific shade of Spring Green, and would have been disappointed to not get what I was expecting. HOWEVER, if the yellow/green would have been made as it's own color instead of Spring Green, I probably would have bought one.
