A Canal Street for 2010 BFC knife??

In the Queen thread we talked about more than 3 7/8" being too big,

It will not be a small knife!
I am concerned how heavy is it at 4 1/8" ?
Will it be too big for an EDC?

I like this one much better than a melon whittler, although that pattern looks interesting as well. Hands down, I much prefer this Canal St. pattern- D2 would be great....
 
Unless GEC comes out with something REALLY special, that swell center is the one I want!!!!!

From looking at the pictures/specs, I believe that I too like the C/S Swell Center much better than the GEC's that I've seen! :thumbup:

3-7/8" might be at the edge of my limit plus it looks rather weighty but with that blade configuration it would definitely find its way into my pocket.
 
O.K! While we are waiting for the Queen thread to finalize, I thought we could also wrap up the Canal Street choice. I read through the whole thread, and the overwhelming buzz has been the swell center. Do we need a poll? There is no clear alternative in terms of how much discussion occurred, but a serpentine Jack, a serpentine Stockman, a Congress and a trapper got some air time. It doesn't seem like any of those would come close. Are we done at the Swell Center, the new version??
Likely it would have D-2 steel, a "normal sized pen blade, better cut swedges (a must-have IMO), and bone, carved like stag, as handles. Unless there's a hue and cry from the Ebony folks!
So, tell me, are we done??
 
I might actually be able to stand the Swell Center if it were bone instead of wood.

But seriously, could you ramp down a notch or two on the "yelling" of having your text in 1 1/2 tall letters when you post? Maybe got to 1" or smaller font.

Heck, maybe the green is enough by itself. We'll find you!

And I want to extend a hearty pat on the back and a "job well done" for all the work you have done on this project (as have others) to make it come about.

I LOVE the huge green font, I can read it ;-) And I'm crying out for EBONY.

Good enough! I kind of like the ebony idea, but looks like we may have an ebony choice in the final vote if the poll stays the same in the Queen thread.

Is there still talk of a different shield than the standard CS?
