A Canal Street for 2010 BFC knife??

Looks like a CS pattern I could get interested in at last! No risk of weak springs with a liner lock....Change the shield, don't engrave the bolster and there could be a very nice and DIFFERENT Forum Knife.

With a different shield, I could get behind a folding Hunter. It certainly fills the "big" criterion also!

I do like the CS folding hunter with jigged bone handles better that that clunky jack. I like the jack blades but the body of that knife is unflattering. The CS folding hunter with jigged bone handles is more elegant but I would miss a second blade.

I do like big knives but would prefer one I could carry, a hunter is past large, it borders on swordlike...lol. Even in a belt pouch I can't remember the last time I carried one of my large hunters and pulling one out, no matter how handsome it is, is a no-no in polite PC company.

Here are couple of hunters...the pic is not close to scale btw, my hands are large enough I find a CZ 52 comfortable. And while the Canal Street is a single blade it will be thinner but just as bulky.

Latest News! I just got off the phone with Wally at Canal Street. The latest Swell Center prototype is on its way back from the photographer, and I should receive pictures to post any day now. Wally has also offered to send me the knife to coon-finger and chicken-eye!
Wally promises me it is a much improved version, way better than the knife above, notwithstanding Greg's admirable enhancements.

The phone call before that, with Great Eastern, suggested a new knife that should interest us before the end of the month! Hmmmmm? I wish they'd "lock" up the release date!!:D

Anyway, some good stuff to look forward to, hopefully!!;)

That's good news on both counts. I am looking forward to see what they modified on the Swell Center Jack.

I'd like that Ebony Swell Center just like it is, so seeing enhancements is exciting. Leave the bolsters as they are. Serial number on the bottom of the cap maybe?

The Canal Street Swell Center is looking prettier all the time..can't wait to see those enhancements too...

Ok folks, it's the moment you've all been waiting for, pics of the upcoming swell center, with some sweet improvements. The knife has been lengthened, and now VERY much resembles the Schrade Cut.Co. it's modelled after. The blade specs have also changed, with the clip growing, thereby eliminatin the long pull in favor of a better fitting crescent pull. The pen blade's also a monster, more like a small spear than a pen. The knife measures 4 1/8" closed. Keep in mind that this is a PROTOTYPE, so the fit and finish aren't what you'll see on the production versions, for instance, I'm fairly certain those steel handle pins will be brass come production time.
