Why is the insurance company not interested in talking?
 
I switched to liability on this one when I bought my expidition. I use this one for a work vehicle, so saved some dough, and wasnt thinkin what if this happens. My stupidity.
 
It happened to me twice last year. Man it burns me up. I know half the stuff got thrown out on the side of the road.

BTW, I thought homeowners insurance covered car thefts. Wierd, but thats what I was told.
 
My boss said he would replace my ICOM, and my First aid stuff, even though I paid for it. Thats cool.

If my homeowners policy wont anty up, then Im beat on the rest of it. Ive never heard of that, I hope they will help, even if its just a percentage.
 
Perhaps you can list what you've lost. Maybe some of us have spares of some stuff, that we can send you.
 
It pisses me off bad. I work my butt off. Sometimes over 100 hrs a week, to pay for this stuff, and some dirtbag, just walked up and snatched it. My 700 dollar handgun. gone. theyre probably gonna sell it for 100 bucks, or murder someone with it.

that is a real bummer. i live in richmond and car break ins are pretty common unfortunately. one thing i learned fast is never ever ever keep a gun in the car unless your in it. i can handle my ipod and gear being on the street but not my handgun. hope you can recover it soon man that is a real bummer. good luck man sorry to hear that.
 
Thieves disgust me beyond words. Lots of inventive methods of capitol punishment spring to mind. I'm really sorry to hear about that, jake! My sisters house was broken into last week, stole a pistol and her tv. A neighbor thinks he saw what he looked like, but it doesn't help much. Anyway, I feel your rage!
 
man, the rope and harnesses are gone too. Whats he gonna rappel down the side of the welfare office????

Crazy thing is most of this crap I had was to help people. Small time Police here wouldnt catch a cold, so theyre worthless too.

I came home early last night from work too, and had to drive right back in this morning. If id have stayed at work, this wouldnt have happened. Or they wouldve broke in my house, where my wife and boys were alone there.

WHIch wouldve been bad for them. My wife is a great shot with a 12 gauge.

Sorry to hear about all of that. Was it clearly visible or something that maybe a friend would have known about? Just wondering.

I have been pondering having a metal shop make the parts I need to make a lockable compartment under my back seat for such things. If you want to look into such a thing. yellow pages under metal (I think) find a sheet metal shop.

Another option is a steel box that is padlocked both in the closed position and with a short 3/8 steel cable around a seat base. It could be stolen only by someone who comes with a cable cutter the size of bolt cutters, and that eliminated 99.9% of the crackhead thugs.
