I feel bad for you guys and your State laws. I know every State is different... but in all of Canada you can carry whatever you want, when ever you want (except for push daggers or automatics) as long as it is not concealed. The only thing you need to do is provide an explanation for your carry if an officer asks you about it.![]()
And this is my issue with "open carry only" laws, such as Canada and California have - these laws preclude the carrying of a fixed blade if you have to put on a suit coat, rain coat, heavy winter coat (not required in Texas), sweater or even just want to leave your shirt tail out.
edit: This is also how we can get away with carrying folding knives... the clip is visible on the outside of the pants making it 'visable'. Technically if it was in the pocket it could be classified as concealed![]()
That wasn't too bad of a way to kill a growler and an afternoon. Thanks for playing guide and letting us borrow your gear, Todd!
The nice thing about the "Live Free or Die" state (where I live) is that I can carry ANY knife I want, in ANY way I want. The suck pill is that neighboring Taxachussetts hasn't noticed that NH's knife laws haven't caused any increase in trouble, so MA still has quite a few restrictions that vary from town to town - and I have to go there for work all too frequently. But today being Sunday, I might wield dual Machaxen.....because I CAN.
Hey Daizee, I continue to be impressed by my Becker head growler's ability to keep cold liquids cold and warm liquids warm for a long period of time.
On another note, trying to pick between a 10" sliding compound miter saw and a 10" table saw.. Around same price so really I'm just trying to figure out which I'd use more... I'm thinking the table saw... ? Opinions on which is more useful of the 2 ?
Love my growler as well. It has became my kayak "cup".
Lately it's been getting full of sweet tea... As I been drinking whiskey straight from a flask and/or beer out of bottles when kayaking... Here they won't fill a 64 ounce growler. But it still gets used quite a bit.

My pleasure, always fun hanging out with you and Jess, thanks again for the growler of Sun King, Gina and I plan on finding the bottom of it today!![]()
you can't rip longer boards with a miter saw.
Table saw is a little more versatile. With a miter gauge you can to what the miter saw would do, not as easily but you can do it. Look for episodes of New Yankee Workshop on youtube and see what that guy can do with a table saw.
BTW, had a peanut butter chocolate chip cookie dough blizzard from DQ last night. Amazeballs.
