We had a chainsaw...and if you actually read my post, you'd know I didn't cut a tree down with my 454. I cut branches with it, and it did a better job than using a chainsaw for 1/4" branches
Now, back to stabbing this car door with my 454...

Microtech Socom Delta. It's pretty close, and they even have custom versions with carbon fiber handles. What production knife can you guys think of that mostly closely matches the dimensions of the 0454? I am thinking as far as blade length, small footprint, and weight. After holding mine I started to realize I don't have a large folder that isn't obtrusive in my pocket. Maybe a Benchmade 710?

Yes I am strictly referring to dimensions. There is no comparison otherwise.yea, maybe the benchmade contego... which pales in comparison. I dont think it can be compared all around
That's a good call, I've always wanted one too. I like my DOC, but it's a hefty sob.Microtech Socom Delta. It's pretty close, and they even have custom versions with carbon fiber handles.
Thats what surprised me so much about it. It looks like a monster when open but in reality it seems to have a very small in pocket footprint. I really like that about it.I think I compared it to the BM 710 in one of my first posts in the other thread. It reminds me of it, not in build quality or ergos or whatnot but rather in how it carries so well for a ~4" bladed knife. IMO it carries dramatically better than some of the other ZT LE knives because it's so light and narrow in shape.
Thanks a bunch. I just had to research what that thing was and of course had to buy one. Silky Katanaboy inbound from Japan. Look out trees!I'm not done giving you crap yet. Cutting small branches is what the make Silky handsaws for, such as the katanaboy

also, never mind a car door, I'm going to try and out the blade through a carbon fiber hood.

Silkys are the best, I own the ibuki too. They are razor sharp and hold their edge forever it seems. Anyways, all Silkys come with awesome sheaths as well, my ibuki has one that comes with leg straps which come in handy when climbing.
