A Spyderco is like a Glock!

Stretch, Sweet SIG man. 12K rounds and I'm sure it's still functioning quite well no? I've only put 1,024 through my new 220. Absolutely no problems so far. Cant wait to get to 12K myself :)

Hey Jake, the 12k is an absolute minimum... a conservative number! That gun's seen the shooter's eye-view of many an IPSC-style match! It helps to have the Government provide as much ammo as you want to shoot....as long as you're representing your agency ((( :D )))

Your P220 will go at least that many rounds and will still smile warmly up at you like a faithful old Lab!

What kind of blade would you pair-up with it?

Kershaw is made as well as Spyderco, or B/M these days and they have knives on the upper dollar scale as well as lower. Just as Spyderco and B/M does. Kershaw would have never gained such a following in a relatively short time if they hadn't upped their game, from some of the "cheap junk" they used to offer.

Baaaaaaah! It's all marketing and flashy gimmicks. Every Kershaw I've ever handled was a piece of crap and I'll never throw my money down that hole.

Then they're over priced. I mean I own knives worth more than some of my guns... but we're talking Busse Combat. Not Kershaw junk. There is nothing a Kershaw can do that a Spyderco or Benchmade can't do better.

Unbreakable, do your research, buy or look at the latest offerings from Kershaw before you come out and call it junk. The fact that you have even said this is proof that you have not handled or seen their latest offerings. I have found many of your opinions uninformed, and many of your posts belie your obvious lack of real world experience in many things.

I also find your condescension and derision towards the other members here, in several threads, disruptive and unnecessary. Especially insulting a moderator's product to his face. I highly doubt you'd be this bold if you were not behind a keyboard.

Please take a good look at yourself and your posting style, and think before you write.

Thank you.

There is almost always a gem among the pile of rocks and Kershaw has at least one. Most of this is, of course, personal opinion as was your post but I don't usually like to make such a broad statement.

I'll admit that I haven't had very many Kershaws but recently I bought a Leek with the D2 edged composite blade and it seems like a very solid little knife that so far has very nice. It's extremely sharp and is holding it's edge very well and it has no blade play when open. That Kershaw that Morimotom pictured is also a very nice knife.

I would also say that Spyderco and certainly Benchmade has had a few gimmicky knives as well as crappy ones.

I would put Kershaw right up there with Spyderco and Benchmade at this point.

One or the other might be stronger in one area or the other but it's a run for money at this point.

Bastid just broke unbreakable and he is history. No need for further replies to his foolishness, as he is no longer here to see them or respond. :D

I'm guessing he means they are both classics.

OK I guess I can buy that but I would have gone more in this direction.

this photo is from a photo shoot I did a few years ago, I probably can't show some of the other photos from that day (a bit naughty)
as to comparisons, in this case they are both sexy the knife is something I picked up in Tuscany, Italy made by a company called Paladini, from the Scarperia region and the HK is the very sexy P7 M8

You know Tomdogma....do you have any more pics that arent so naughty?

I do like that pic though.

I'm going to have to say, the Chris Reeves are more like a Les Baer. Still production, but wow.

MPC12, Since I'm down to only a few guns and knives anymore (warning: five kids will do that) and a Concept VII and a sebenza are among them I would have to agree. May I suggest a strider also as an alternative to the CR.

thanks Barrabas! what level do i need to upgrade to?
here is another (non naughty) photo combo from that shoot, she really loved to shoot that HK

I don't understand this comparison at all. What do you mean here? There must be a train of thought that I am completely missing.

Please elaborate.
You don't see the Colt revolvers and the Case slipjoints as classic American products? They go together. You poo poo nearly every comparison on this thread. Its a subjective opinion. Get your head out.

Hey, I just did not understand the classic thing at first, but when the other poster said it I will quote my self where I agreed with you but had another view as well.

"OK I guess I can buy that but I would have gone more in this direction."

I don't believe I "poo poo" ed any other comparison except I said I did not agree with the order that one guy put the brands in.

Go stick your head.
