Good to have you here, Daniel. Seems you survived the initiation. ;)

My user name-DITCH-comes from my love of alpine, or 'hardboot' snowboarding. Hardbooters are sometimes known as 'trenchdiggers' for the deep ruts they leave in the snow. 'Round about the time I joined BF, a friend's wife asked if I was still a ditch digger. It just stayed.
'In my Mersey Paradise' refers to a song in my repertoire. Here's a link:

My real name is Tom.

I've had so much work to do lately, and a broken laptop, I haven't frequented here as much as I used too. But now I have a new laptop :) It's good to be back.

Hello everyone.

My name is Rick and I like all kinds of knives but slipjoints have a special place in my soul.

I go by the username of "Switchback" on a couple of other knife forums. I wanted to use that name here also but it was already taken. (No offense to the original bladeforums Switchback)

Do I need a paid account to put my name, Rick, in my posts as a signature?

Welcome (again), Rick.

The paid accounts do allow a signature but you can always just type it in the old fashioned way. Fortunately for you, you're in the traditional forum. ;)

Hello all knife "enthusiast" (addicts sounds so harsh, but true). My name is Bill & there is a reason "we" (have to include the wife, long story), are very reluctant to use names on the 'Net. Identity theft 3 times in the last two years with no purchases or anything being done on the internet. So, being that I am still a double digit midget for a few more posts, have a good evening.
Be safe.

Elliott - what a wonderful thread!

I rarely post these days, and usually just lurk.

I would guess you are not all that interested in meeting my cousin Johnie... Thanx for the laff!:D

I'm Tom. New to the slipjoint world but have caught the bug! Looking at selling Sebenzas and Manandis to fund custom slipjoints.

Welcome to the "Good Side" Tom :D Just kidding... Knives aside, you will find the best people to be found hangin out here. It would be great if we could get a bunch of people together and sit around the campfire.

That sounds like a good plan you have going there. Not saying there is anything wrong with the CRK's though. Be sure to post pics of your new additions as you get them.

My name is Michael and I am new to the traditional knife life. I have always been a knife enthusiast however my collection is full of thick bladed woods knifes and skinners.

I'm also a freak for cigars and humidors and a nice rifle. I nee cheaper habits and hobbies.

Don't forget to hit the save button.

I've been on here some time and never introduced myself! the name is Robert (captain obvious lol) and just want to say after a recent occurrence that is related to this part of the forum, which I will post up in its own thread soon, this sub-forum really brings out the best in a lot of people!

I've been into Slipjoints since my granddad taught me how to sharpen my first knife on his Sheffield single blade (not sure what pattern it was, but to a kid it was a big knife)...I have spent the better part of 10 years seeking out a knife that looks like the image i have of it in my head. One day I'll find it :)
