A Thought On Posts In The Traditional Forum...

I just realized I have been missing out on a great part of the forum. Seeing as my 120+ collection is 75% slip joints I should have known better! Now I will proceed to envy and lust after some super slippies!

Steve

My name is Mike but since roughly three out of every four boys born in the sixties was named Mike, I go by Mack.
Nice to meet you folks.

My name is actually Kerry Hampton. I post under this name so that people won't bother me about knife orders. Sometimes I post under both names back-to-back because I'm having a Sybil moment.

My friends call me Peaches, but please only use that name when I post under my Kerry Hampton persona.

Well, for anyone I haven't exchanged e-mails or private messages with, I've added my name to my sig line. And no, Jack is not a nickname for John, it says "Jack" on my birth certificate. :D

Very nice to meet you, Mr. Late To Dinner HAHAH I made a funny :D

Hi,

It is nice to have a name to put to members handles. It makes me feel not quite so inadequate with my general inability to come up with a clever nickname like the rest of you.:)

I just use my name and initial. Gotta keep it simple for another slip-joint addled old guy.

Wonderful idea, Blu . . . .uhhh, Elliott!
It's weird when you ask a question on Ebay, signing your name, and the seller refuses to sign his back with his answer- - - -but this is NOT Ebay!!!
Signature edited so you know who I REALLY am! But don't tell anyone!!;)

I just use my name, there aren't enough of us around here to cause any confusion. As a kid I was called BerkleyB, to distinguish me from the three other Berkleys in the family.

My name is Val and I'm a lurker here. I spend most of my time reading the WS&S sub-forum and occasionally make the rounds thru the other forums.

Mine's pretty easy to figure out, the FL is on the end because I'm in Florida (native - we are definitely in the minority). Anyhow, I used to be really into spydies, benchmades, etc. but over the last year I have fallen in love with slipjoints. I don't know if it's because I'm getting older or more discriminative but I all I'm interested in is slippies!

Traditionals is my home. occasionally i'll go to BRL's forum and the Schrade forum.
steve's my name but most people call me....Steve.

I don't think it's because of your age. I'm the same way and I'm only in my late twenties. I think it's just that those of us who like slippies also like to keep things simple.;)

This is a really good idea Elliott. I've always wondered what other members actual names are and often feel silly referring to them by their username, especially in this sub-forum where the atmosphere is so friendly.

Mine just might be the board's most boring moniker, but at least there's no ambiguity.

I second (third? forth?) the sentiment that Elliott's renewed posting vigor is most welcome. You put the 'rad' in Traditional, my friend.

What, no one can figure out my name from my forum ID?

My name is John, although sometimes my wife uses a different name.

Great idea! I'll play- they call me 'Just' Dave. All of my other 'Dave' friends have nicknames to go with it, so I'm 'Just.
And here is what I look like

I love slipjoints first then other knives second. My forum name is my name. I think I am even in the phone book....full disclosure.
