Ontario is finally reopening and "Esperanza" is ready

Preparations underway for some so called "primitive" camping, only accessible by boat on an island on the Thousand Islands National Park.

One I forgot earlier, we drove through the burnt area from the Beachie Creek fire of 2020

It's wierd to see how it took some buildings and left others that were right next to them. The Holiday fire was closer to our home and actually had us packing essentials incase we had to evacuate.

We made it to camp 🏕
Sitting by the campfire now after a long day.
A bit of anxiety trying to find the island but thanks to GPS technology here we are

The womenfolk, 3 of them LOL do not pack light. Somehow all this fitted in 2 kayaks and “Esperanza “
I thought our waterline was much higher than usual lol

I had to carry most of it to a higher elevation to our campsite… I will sleep well tonight lol

Went for a walk around the island with my Grohmann

Trying to wake up by the fire drinking some “mate”
I crashed last night. I snored very loud too my wife tells me ( did not bring my CPAP machine)

The troops are still sleeping but I am in good company with my Maserin Plow

BTW, snoring is greatly appreciated by most who venture over night afield in the northern portions of our State.
Keeps the large and small at a safe distance, both bears and mosquito. You're welcome at our camp anytime.

Thanks CelloDan , it was a great day out I once ran away from home to go and live on a Canadian island!
