By coincidence, I've got these ready to ship, after a special request

Ladies, thank God we live in the "Land of the free" where if you pull your mask down you may enjoy a Yorkie!
Jack, they really do look good !

I was going to say that an ad campaign like this wouldn't stand a chance in the United States. We've lost our sense of humor (on both sides of the political aisle). Sad that we have to sit by and let the Brits make all the good jokes.

I don't have a sweet tooth but I think I need that orange one.

t's actually decades since I had one, but H herder liked them, and I think btb01 btb01 may also have had at least one, along with a few other members :D Here's one of their commercials from when they were launched in the 1970's 🤣

Sorry if you end up with that jingle stuck in your head! :D

Honestly if you cant laugh at this there's no hope for you.

No one in the right mind was offended. 🤣🤣🤣

I was a truck driver at the time and used to buy them 😁

fantastic ad campaign!

A Walk in Nature

With regard to the candy bar, I was thinking a smart ad campaign could have had two phases: 1) the joke "not for girls" followed by 2) a pretend "outrage" campaign where the girls come in and say, "Oh, yes, it's for girls!" I ought to make a call. Maybe it's not too late.

When I went to buy a sandwich it was a Kitkat and a Yorkie for a £1 who could resist?😍

Man, I knew I had been robbed when I bought our Yorkie !
It was $ 950 CAD with NO Kitkat
And he is a mixed breed at that, part Maltese or who knows what !

My emails to the breeder demanding my Kitkat are being ignored !

My wife keeps telling me to forget about it.
She says “ Just look at him , who could resist that sweet little face “ 😍

I had to agree 😊
On our drive back from visiting family for the holidays.

Here is Toby 😎

Now, whenever we stop for gas in a couple hours I’ll get me a Kitkat 😄

This is where I was going to shoot the Red Kites the other day.

I will go back midweek some time when its empty.

Where my knife blade cuts the brown contour lines on the - left is about where the bench is that looks out over the valley.

The Red Kites are often at the same height as you but in the air,so a good photo opportunity.

Its very open and windy so you need to wrap up,I very much enjoy the walk in as much as anything.

I have to pass the CO-OP shop on the way to the car park if the offer is still on I will stock up on the peanut KitKats they are addictive.

You can see my bench in one of the photos here.

This is the route I normally take except I go clockwise.

What I will do next time is go via Lower Deans wood the open patch above is where they are often having pheasant shoots so I will have to tread careful. 😆

I was having trouble reconciling this statement with the contours on the map, until I realized I was an idiot and the contours were in meters, not feet. I kept thinking it couldn’t possibly be that flat…

Wait a minute ... something is not quite right !

I think this next picture bears a closer resemblance to how he actually looks

And here he is, camping by Newboro Lake on the Rideau waterway on a hot summer day.

Summertime already feels like a distant time in the past.
Arrived home to a driveway full of ❄️ that needed to be cleared out before we could drive in and unload.
Temp right now is -19 C ( 1.4 F ) but it should get milder by tomorrow afternoon to go kick sledding :)

Yorkies truly are amazing! :D

Milder tomorrow Dan? When measuring temps by tenths of a degree, milder may mean just a few tenths. Here's to hoping your temps rise at least to zero!
C of course! :thumbsup::thumbsup:

I got out today for a sweet little walk. ;)

Possibly, more pics tomorrow.

Cool pic James ;) I am sure it was sweet but did you break out a sweat ? 😅

I did not get my Kitkat yet but I'll fix that soon lol. I got to keep up with that nature walker and trendsetter Johnny the 🦊 from across the pond 😁

I don't speak Fahrenheit and when I punched -19 C on the online "translator" lol it came out quite precise at 1.4 F 😂

Looking forward to more pics tomorrow

^^^ Thanks Dan.
Having been a wannabe outdoorsman since I can remember, I always enjoy this thread.
There's something about the great outdoors that cheers and calms the soul. It's not always easy to get pics that show the beauty but here's a couple from yesterday's walk. It was 0 deg. C, still I was able to work up a pretty good sweat.
It was a nice sunny day

Since finding a Victorinox huntsman about 30 years ago I've had it, or something like it, in my gear ever since.
Yesterday it was this Farmer in my RFP.

It was also a calm day so I could venture into the open fields a bit to enjoy a glorious blue sky

Recently I've been enjoying small fixed blades like this Izula 2 seen here on a walking staff it prepared

A good path for cross county skis (or kick sleds???) but I was content just to mosey for awhile

Game was far too fleeting for my camera skills but the Hershey bar while small made the work out worth the effort, thanks Johnnythefox Johnnythefox for the inspiration

I dont mind cold if the sky is blue and the sun is out, that looks ace to me.

If I am travelling light there is no better tool on a low key hike/walk than the farmer.

One of my favourite groups also has good taste in chocolate bars 😁
