A Walk in Nature
Should now feature a photo of your favourite chocolate bar out in the wild.
From memory I've given you Wagon Wheels and Kitkats, lets see what you have.
Honestly if you cant laugh at this there's no hope for you.
When I went to buy a sandwich it was a Kitkat and a Yorkie for a £1 who could resist?![]()
I was having trouble reconciling this statement with the contours on the map, until I realized I was an idiot and the contours were in meters, not feet. I kept thinking it couldn’t possibly be that flat…The Red Kites are often at the same height as you but in the air,so a good photo opportunity.
Yorkies truly are amazing!
Milder tomorrow Dan? When measuring temps by tenths of a degree, milder may mean just a few tenths. Here's to hoping your temps rise at least to zero!
C of course!
I got out today for a sweet little walk.

Possibly, more pics tomorrow.

Wait a minute ... something is not quite right !

And here he is, camping by Newboro Lake on the Rideau waterway on a hot summer day.

Summertime already feels like a distant time in the past.
Arrived home to a driveway full ofthat needed to be cleared out before we could drive in and unload.
Temp right now is -19 C ( 1.4 F ) but it should get milder by tomorrow afternoon to go kick sledding![]()
I dont mind cold if the sky is blue and the sun is out, that looks ace to me.^^^ Thanks Dan.
Having been a wannabe outdoorsman since I can remember, I always enjoy this thread.
There's something about the great outdoors that cheers and calms the soul. It's not always easy to get pics that show the beauty but here's a couple from yesterday's short walk. It was 0 deg. C, still I was able to work up a pretty good sweat.
It was a nice sunny day

Since finding a Victorinox huntsman about 30 years ago I've had it, or something like it, in my gear ever since.
Yesterday it was this Farmer in my RFP.
![]()
It was also a calm day so I could venture into the open fields a bit to enjoy a glorious blue sky

Recently I've been enjoying small fixed blades like this Izula 2 seen here on a walking staff it prepared

A good path for cross county skis (or kick sleds???) but I was content just to mosey for awhile

Game was far too fleeting for my camera skills but the Hershey bar while small made the work out worth the effort, thanksJohnnythefox for the inspiration
