Photos A Walk in Nature

I thought I would share another shot of our "Yorkie" out in nature

Wait a minute ... something is not quite right !

I think this next picture bears a closer resemblance to how he actually looks

And here he is, camping by Newboro Lake on the Rideau waterway on a hot summer day.

Summertime already feels like a distant time in the past.
Arrived home to a driveway full of ❄️ that needed to be cleared out before we could drive in and unload.
Temp right now is -19 C ( 1.4 F ) but it should get milder by tomorrow afternoon to go kick sledding :)

No knives or nature but Elvis let us dress him in his best Mujahideen garb tonight.

If I remember my etymology correctly, "England" is an old Anglo-Saxon word that means "the weather sucks here."
We would most likely use foxtrots and not sierra 😂
I'm clicking 🤣, Johnny, but I have no idea what you're talking about. What's foxtrot and sierra?
F is foxtrot and S is Sierra in military radio procedure

I didn’t want to swear,we dont use sucks in England other than it’s true meaning.

we do use old Anglo Saxon words starting with F or foxtrot 😂

Mine was a electric push bike in nature today,I did 12miles which is a lot for me (on muddy paths, dodging walkers, other cyclists and joggers not paying attention).

Tried out some new ebay bargain USA Merino socks made for winter golfers, excellent (I gave so many socks to the homeless I needed some more for myself). 😁

Also started to get used to/break in new Lars Falt guide gloves.

Purchased after all the reviews I read, the only gloves no one has a bad word for.

Designed for Northern Scandinavian snowy woods, not wet English winters, ive done it again and lowered the brands purpose/standards.😂

Its simple a large over sized quality leather outer with a wool inner, you can use other liners so infinitely variable for different uses.
A bit bulky on a bike (controls) and they started to hurt after a bit so had to use my Alturas to get back,my hands where freezing on return.
The guide gloves will be excellent once broken in a bit,I got them on special offer as well.

I saw all sorts of wild life some real, some like Nessie maybe not real (or is it,ask a Scotsman).🤣

I detoured a little to get a pizza slice and a flat white, they even gave me a knife so didn't need my SAK in my go pack.

There was a charity shop next door so I nipped in and bought a calendar,I have one from my Army corp but its a bit dull and rufty tufty, I like this one it will inspire me to go out more.
The Lake district is one of the wonders of the world.

The no mooring sign, you probably guessed it I wanted to change that to no morons (so many around).
There was graffiti about Boris as well, but I might get banned if I show you that one. 😇

Very tired and cold but I enjoyed the ride and views.

I only managed to get out for a short walk this morning before the temperature rose and the rain set in. I saw a big healthy-looking fox, but of course he was too quick for me to get a picture of him. I might have gotten a very slightly longer walk in if I hadn’t stopped to get a candy bar on the way...

Now you aren't blaming me for the candy bar surely? 😇

I watch a lot of outdoors stuff trekking and surviving in the wild.

Of all of them I reckon this chap is the best by far, great skills the way he uses his knife, axe and saw and builds things.

He has a economy of movement and a vast knowledge,He actually thrives rather than endures.

If you cant wait go to 26minutes to see why I went for the small neck knife,if he has one then there is a reason as everything he does has a purpose (watch it all if you can its very relaxing).

This one blew my mind he started with nothing, one thing I noticed with the Scandinavians they all use a kettle and make pine needle tea,I shall have to try that one day.

Nice to see you also got some of that "white stuff" too Tom ;):)
Those peanut butter cups sure look good 😄

We all are Mr Fox 🦊, and we can not even compete with your manly Yorkie bars,... not fair :p

Enjoyed watching the videos and subscribed:thumbsup:

My wife and I have been following this channel for a couple years.
This guy build a cabin and all sorts of smaller structures in the forest and then decided to move further up north as the area was getting a bit crowded to his liking.
He started from scratch again last spring.

No walks for us today, we were feeling a bit under the weather as they say but looking forward to the ice trails or maybe some xc skiing tomorrow.

I have been watching that as well.
His first cabin was near people and there was a nasty family continually harassing him,it wasnt quite as remote as we thought.

Stepped out on the deck to snap a few knife pictures and heard an Eagle. Terrible picture but he is there, silhouetted in the middle of the frame straight above my neighbor’s deck. When I was a kid you could just about count the number of Bald Eagles in existence on two hands. Now there are in my backyard. Just wonderful. 😊733E7557-2D3E-4BAE-B188-B013462FC1AC.jpeg
