I fully agree that you should have a firearm and training as an option asap. However, it sounds as though that may be a while.
I think that what's being over looked in this case may be the option of two simultaneous options...
You already ordered the taser. An awsome tool to have. Consider pairing that up with a small light hawk or hatchet.
They are both very effective, inexpensive and can be used one handed.
If you have the taser in your left hand and the hatchet in your right you have alot better defencive offence, not to mention scary as hell.lol
If you swing the hatchet with your right hand and he has the speed/strength to block or catch it,
while he's busy with it, buzz his sorry butt with your taser. If he's busy staring at the sparks coming off the
taser, he'll probably never notice the hatchet until he's already crippled...
Actually I do wonder; did you get an actually taser, or a stun gun? There is a difference...
A taser shoots out two metal objects attached to wires. A stun gun has two prongs sticking out
of the end and will have sparks between them when you hold the button.
