Adam and Haley DesRosiers(Consolidated Updates and Donations)

Another shout out to Ben T. I don't know how he finds the time to get anything else done but Instagram suggests he does.

Ryan Weeks launched a bid to assist, and honoured me with a request to help with THIS project

We hated to hear about their loss. Our monthly knife meeting is in 2 weeks and we will be gathering donations there.

I am also going to send them a box of handle material, since they lost all of theirs. A few other people are wanting to donate handle material, as well as tools. We will make sure they are taken care of.

Everyone here, rocks!

Lorien,

We have our differences but you photographs just show the WHY so well, I have to give you kudos and heartfelt THANKS!!!

Adam has been my great friend for many years, and Haley has been a part of my life for as long as she has been a part of his.

Adam and I frequently talk and we get into a wide range of topics from politics to agriculture, and we have been so in tune for so long, we could share the same DNA...

And that is why getting the DesRosiers back on form is so important to me.

I can assure those in the community that if you wanted to know a couple that is inspirational, you would not do better than the DesRosiers. They are the knife community ambassadors to the world, literally, which is why Samuel Lurquin has extended himself so far out there.

Sam, tremendous and heartfelt gratitude....NOW STOP IT AND WORK ON YOUR MS STUFF!!! You have done enough, you big knucklehead!!!!

Thanks Logan....

Phase One of this endeavor has been to get the DesRosiers the breathing room they need to create a plan

Phase Two will be to identify tools necessary to work, and materials to work with, as we all know that they had some great stuff....there is an organization that I have been part of called the Toolbox Initiative that has set the archetype for this endeavor.

Phase Three will be to ensure that they CAN WORK and have everything necessary to do so...at that point, I'm out and you are all back to regularly scheduled programming.

Best Regards,

The bidding on my donated knife is now over and the high bid goes to Les Alldredge. I have asked that the winning bid be applied directly to Adam's PayPal account.

Thanks all involved here.

While we disagree on a wide variety of the topics that we've discussed over the years, Adam has always been graceful in debate, respectful, and always very kind to me, which imbues a sense of fraternity to our discussions, even if our views are diametrically opposed. I like to think that engaging these differences has allowed us both to learn something new. I have for sure.

Haley and Adam are warm, wonderful, kind people and the outpouring of support here proves it.

We just sent a donation to the DesRosiers paypal address. I was thinking of making a knife to auction, but am not in the shop much at the moment and paypal is $ to them right now.

I will get up a box of handle material and such to send out soon.

They are that! Happy New Year to you.

Thanks so much buddy! They probably will jump for joy with any materials you send them!

It's like a VIRTUAL barn raising folks.

The DesRosiers have had local support for some materials and more importantly labor. Adam indicated to me yesterday that the concrete slab will likely have to be re-poured. That's a lot of money, and that is certainly where donations will help. Once they decide the kind of building they need, then, they can get going with an order or making it.

Then they can move in, and start worrying about where the equipment will come from and where to get it. People have been reaching out with help there too.

It's truly heartwarming!

Best Regards,
