Advice on Stoutly Built Field-use Folder

Great balls of fire $ 500.00 for a folder?

It's not justifiable. Just like a $20k tricked out Harley isn't justifiable compared to a $2000 used Kawasaki when it comes to transportation utility. BMW vs. Camry. Diamond vs. cubic zirconia.

It's not about utilitarian value, it's about finer points of style, fit-and-finish, performance, satisfaction of ownership... and that all comes with asymptotically decreasing performance benefits for the $$. ... and requires a safe to store.

By the way, the red 271 Locktite high strength thread locker seems to be plenty stout for the press-fit thumb stud on Hinderer. I'm surprised it's holding solid, but I put a good amount of force on it, and wasn't able to push the thumb stud back out... and yet, I'm sure I could muscle (or carefully whack) it out if needed. Heh heh ... heh heh ... he said "whack it"...

Yeah... oldie but a goodie! I think all these 'hard use folder' threads should be combined and stickied at the top of this area - there must've been a couple hundred of em by now!

True, but this is an almost 2 yr old thread.
