Ahhh crap I have lyme

Read the article I linked. I would wager people wouldn't mind blue if they were prevented from getting Lyme's. Besides you would have to injest a lot to poison your body with it. A few tablespoons a few times a year hasn't done anything to me.

I do not know if it works or not. I have used it with fever and have the fever immediatly vanish. Did the silver do it? I don't know, but the fever often vanishes immediately. I just take it every now in then. My kid with ticks on him for over 48 hours, well he got a couple of doses.

I read about silver really messing up bacteria in non other than the Economist magazine. Apparently it really screws with it. The reason that it was in the mag is that the FDA is considering regulating it.

For the record, my dad is a physician. He doesn't believe in it. My dad in law is a chemical engineer. He manufactures it for our family use.

I have nothing to gain either way. I don't sell the stuff. Something to consider though.

Good info. Things to keep in mind are testing wouldn't hurt, and watch for any unusual symptoms. If you go to canlyme.com you can print out a list of symptoms. The problem is though is that a lot of the symptoms are normal things that people have in life, so it would be hard to say whether it's just a fever, or you have lyme. This is what makes it very deadly. If you can, get tested. It would be so much better to take the time get tested, then to end up with lyme. I'm not a physician, but just an educated lymie. Hope this helps.

I know that doxycyclene works, and in talking with other victims, it works well if caught early. Why mess with anything else?

It's the longer term joint pain and nerve damage that many of us feel that seems to be tougher to treat. And the later it's treated, the worse it gets.

Mine went nine or ten months, which I can personally tell you, is too damned long. I can't imagine going years without treatment. I'm betting I would have had a gun barrel in my mouth.

I read once that either Louis or Clark of American expidition fame may have had Lyme, and ultimately, the root cause of his death by his own hand.

Nothing yet here about prevention.

If you hike, hunt, or fish in areas where ticks are likely, you might want to look into a permethrin wash for your outdoor clothing. It kills ticks on contact.

I've always used high concentrations of DEET to keep the ticks away, but I may be looking into permethrin this next deer season.
