al-Zarqawi is DEAD

...Forget about the virgins al-Zarqawi, you're going to HELL!

Actually, others have posted that his Hell will consist of 72 virgins who are...

  • Fat and ugly
  • Sows (the four-legged kind)
  • Males
  • Gorgeous, Jewish, and bitchy - all determined to help one other to stay virgins

Any other ideas?

I have 72 questions about 72 virgins. Well, I found the questions, but they should still be valid.

1) What if the bomber wants girls with more experience?
2) What if one virgin is no good in bed? Does she get replaced or is he stuck with 71?

52) Do the virgins ever retire, or do they remain virgins forever?
53) If they retire, what kind of pension plan do they get?
54) Wouldn't it be interesting if they're virgins because they're ugly?
55) So is it 72 Muslim girls or like 1 virgin from every culture?
56) Wouldn't it be sweet if Lorena Bobbit got hired as one of the virgins?
57) What does Gloria Steinem have to say about all this?
58) When he gets home, does he have to say "How was your day?" to all 72 virgins?
59) Do they have counseling for sexual addiction in paradise?
60) If the virgins start hogging the remote, is he in hell?
61) They must take up an entire theater when they go to the movies, huh?
62) Are there restaurants in paradise that can accommodate a reservation for 73?
63) If a virgin suffers from multiple personalities, is she considered two virgins?
64) Does he get all the virgins at once, or do they have an installment plan?
65) Is the bomber entitled to subsitutes, exchanges, or refunds?
66) What if all the king's horses and all the king's men can't put the bomber together again?
67) Is "not tonight, dear, I have a headache" a valid excuse in paradise?
68) Do the virgins come with a warranty?
69) If so, does paradise replace defective parts and provide on-site service?
70) What do you call a lifetime warranty if you're dead?
71) Do siamese twin bombers get 144 virgins?
72) Who gets to clean up all those nasty sheets?

Hehehe :D

Take care.

Isnt it obvious now?
Most of these old old religions were little more than disguises for our own hidden desires.
Make a rule about women being clothed from head to foot.
The truth: We are rapists by nature....

Make a rule about worshipping idols
The truth: We want your money, dont waste it on a statue...

I was talking to my best friends grandfather today and he had some good words on this topic that reflected my own feelings.

He was seeing on the news stuff about this guys death and all the gloating and cheering going on. He was saying it was sad and immoral the way people cheer and praise another persons death, how people were wishing for an even crueler end to this man's life. He went on to say that someone who was a father of a person killed by Zarq was being interviewed and was asked for his thoughts. He said something like, "No, I'm not happy about this at all. It's sad. It's sad that it came down to this, to people dying. Enemy or not, I don't l ike seeing a fellow man killed." My friends grandfather said the mans words were beautiful.

I know I'll probably get some shit for saying this, but the attitudes you guys display is disgusting. It's something you'd expect from say, a derranged radical. It actually makes me feel ashamed to know fellow citizens of my country are holding attitudes such as this, saying we should give thanks and praise for this mans death. Is it good he's no longer in power to commit evil deeds? Without question. But insisting we dance in the streets and drink toasts to the mans death is disrespectful, wrong, immoral etc. It's sad to see people acting this way. If you can't treat an enemy with dignity, I wonder how well you manage to treat your friends, for how you treat one often reflects how you treat the other.

I don't care how heinious a crime a person commits. Earned death or not, they're still worthy of dignity and respect in my eyes. The worst of my enemies shall always know the respect of my heart. I find the behaviour displayed here to be disheartening, especially coming from those who claim to be Christians. I thinkt he cliche of WWJD fits in nicely here, for I do not picture the son of God mocking the deceased and making merry over their death's.

Sorry about that, Vicki. If you're looking for a deranged radical, sadly, you won't have very far to look. Try the mideast. There are plenty who'd love to kill you for your crimes of being an American and a christian.

Sorry about that too, lady. I'm finding the state of the world disheartening; at least there's one less vicious killer in it.

I think we can at least agree on the statement, "People should all be nice."

i personally do not take any pleasure in the killing of another human, except in the satisfaction of confronting and overcoming evil. in that i take pleasure and celebrate. this man completely broke all the rules, not only ours, but those of islam. that his death was required is a shame, on him and his followers, that we celebrate the ending of an evil is not. as has been said many times, all it takes for evil to win is for good men to do nothing. those who condone his actions by condemning those who have stopped the evil and who are proud of it are not helping end the violence, but perpetuating it.

Found this:

TEHRAN, Iran -- Iran, whose relations with Iraq have warmed since the ouster of Saddam Hussein, said Sunday it was pleased about the death of al-Qaida in Iraq leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.

"It is natural that we, like the Iraqi people, are happy from this occurrence," Foreign Ministry spokesman Hamid Reza Asefi told reporters.

Iran, a majority Shiite Muslim country, has close ties to the Shiite parties that now dominate Iraq's government.

Al-Zarqawi, who was killed in a U.S. airstrike Wednesday, was the most wanted leader of the Sunni-dominated insurgency in Iraq.

Also this seems like we maybe there a long time:

By Richard Cowan

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Congressional Republicans killed a provision in an Iraq war funding bill that would have put the United States on record against the permanent basing of U.S. military facilities in that country, a lawmaker and congressional aides said on Friday.

The $94.5 billion emergency spending bill, which includes $65.8 billion to continue waging wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, is expected to be approved by Congress next week and sent to President George W. Bush for signing into law.

As originally passed by the House of Representatives, the Pentagon would have been prohibited from spending any of the funds for entering into a military basing rights agreement with Iraq.

A similar amendment passed by the Senate said the Pentagon could not use the next round of war funding to "establish permanent United States military bases in Iraq, or to exercise United States control over the oil infrastructure or oil resources of Iraq."

The Bush administration has said it does not want to place any artificial timelines on a U.S. presence in Iraq and that it wants to begin withdrawing troops when Iraqi security forces are better able to protect the country. But it has not ruled out permanent bases in Iraq.

While the Pentagon does not necessarily plan to use any of the emergency funds to establish a permanent military presence in Iraq, congressional Democrats wanted Congress to be on record against such a long-term military arrangement.

Doing so, they argued, could help overcome Middle East fears that the United States intended to control the region militarily, at least in part to oversee foreign oil reserves.

"The perception that the U.S. intends to occupy Iraq indefinitely is fueling the insurgency and making our troops more vulnerable," said Rep. Barbara Lee, a California Democrat who won House approval of her amendment on permanent bases.

I prettymuch agree with what you're saying, but the behaviour I've seen here is vastly different from "Whew, one less evil doer. One small step for man, one giant leap for do-good types." Rather, I'm seeing things like....

"I'm just sorry he died so easily"
"I hope he burns in a jet fuel fire for eternity along with his 72 whores."
"Hopefully his death was slow and painful. I'd have spilled all the morphine onto the sand as he gurgled his way to HELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

That's far different than what you describe. This is the behaviour I'm referring to. I see the ceasing of his evil actions as a positive thing, just like everyone else here. I think it's a shame it took death to remove those evil deeds from this world, but I accept that is probably the best option we had. I don't protest the fact that we killed him on bit. What I protest is people gloating over his death and attitudes such as those I've quoted. Meating evil with complacency will not stop the evil, but meeting evil with evil counteracts efforts to promote peace, which is something every U.S. citizen and armed forces member should be actively fighting for. The attitudes shown here and throughout my country are going to make peace a far-fetched goal indeed, especially with how ingrained discrimination towards middle-eastern peoples is becoming in peoples minds here. I'm actually a bit worried about our future considering the path many Americans are taking. I think they might prove to be the catalyst for further terrorist actions.

It's deeper than that, as much as certain people would like you to not believe. Many are prettymuch brainwashed, others fight due to militant occupance of their holy sites etc. It's not as black and white as "We hate you because you're free so we're going to kill you." None of what I'm saying excuses their inhumane and destructive methods, but understanding your enemy is very important if you insist on ever creating peace....which I'm starting to feel many Americans are not even interested in with regards to this, they just want that hemisphere nuked (not directed at you, just a statement made in a general sense).

Agreed. BTW, I'm a male atheist. ;)

Vivi, while i don't agree with you totally, I understand where you are coming from. Personally, i couldn't dance in the streets or create a big hoopla about anyone's death...unless i had been personally touched by that death. If I had lost brothers, sisters, children, or parents to a tyrant targeting the innocent, then yes. I would cry tears of joy all while feeling my heart break once again at the loss of my loved ones. If I were a soldier that saw buddies mauled, disfigured, and killed by an enemy that hides faceless among the population, then I would hoot and holler and thank God that an animal attacking the weak was crushed. If I had lost a soldier son, or a daughter, or a cousin, or a nephew to an IED set up by a terrorist under the orders of Zarqawi, then I would be glad and thankful and outspoken he had been taken out. It is a personal victory that gives closure. I will never make them whole, but closure is as much as you can hope for when such a hole has been left in you.
I am far removed from the millitary. The last generation of my family that served was my grandparents in WWII. However, I do totally savor the poetic justice of a terrorist mastermind bleeding out only to find with his last dying gasp that those who said they would get him...got him. Perhaps it is my steely side, but i don't really care about "right" and "wrong" in this situation. "Right" and "Wrong" are best left for concrete ideals like, "It's right to hold the door for a lady, and it's wrong to take something that is not yours." Fighting terrorism is survival. It's nasty (not our Mod;)), it's brutal, and it's aggressive. It's like fighting a cancer, and like most cancer treatments it's mostly just to buy us time, to keep it in check, to live longer in the lifestyle we have created and feel is best for us. I'm not sure that there is a cure short of cutting off a hand to save an arm.
If feeling this way means that one day I have to take my lumps from my maker, then i can live with that. I am just a man, not Christ Himself. As I have said, I could never jump for joy at the death of another. However, on the other side of that coin, I would never jump for joy at winning the big state football game. Emotions are not my...thing;)
However, Vivi, as I have said, I do understand where you are coming from. I chalk everyone's opinion up to "different strokes for different folks". God is on all of our sides. We just probably lack the divinity to see something so painfully obvious that would bind us all together in peace.
Could pretty ponies be the great unversal glue? How about peanut butter? Everyone likes peanut butter, right?:D
I honestly and truly hope to get a good hard spiritual belly-laugh out of all this when i crossover one day:)

Well, speaking of survival, let's say I'm attacked by a bum in an alley with a knife who's obviously trying to kill me. I wouldn't look at him and say, killing you is wrong, so take my life Sir Hobo. I'd defend myself with unprecidented viciousnes. Assuming I could overthrow him and in the process I ended up killing him, I would not regret it. I'd feel like I've been describing...sad that it came down to one of us dying, dissapointed in the direction he took in life etc. I would not glorify my kill, if I told anyone about it I would do so calmly and humbly, not boasting of my deeds. I wouldn't feel guilty about defending myself to survive anymore than that situation would make you due to what you're done. It was probably my best option and I took it, but it's not something I like seeing it come down to that.

I understand, I think Vivi position. I don't see celebrating the death of a person. I do see celebrating the end of an evil.

I try to separate the man from the evil and cheer the death of the evil he perpetuated. To celebrate the fact that he can do no more harm, personally. AND that we send a message to the evil-doers of the world that we will not put up with this kind of stuff.

Sure others wil take his place and we have more 500 pound bombs. Maybe they will be a little more careful not to cross the line he crossed.

They, the bad guys on the "other side" certainly celebrate deaths of our people. This does not give us the right to sink to their level, but it does give us an understanding of how they think and how we may need to respond to them.

I knew a guy, here in Marietta GA, who was a mercenary. Mitch Werbel. You may know a weapon he made, called the "MAC 10" and "MAC 11." (Marietta Armements Corporation) A butt-ugly, but very efective, submachine gun.

Mitch and his crew were given the job of bodyguard for a Coca-Cola executive who was to travel to South America.

Some group of terrorists made a public statement That they were going to kidnap the executive and hold him for ransom.

Mitch made the counter-statement that IF they were successful in kidnapping the executive, that he, Mitch would be sure that no ransom was ever paid.

"But I will find you and I will kill you. I will burn your villages to the ground. I will kill your women and your children, your relatives, your friends, your dogs and livestock, I will be sure that no trace of you exists."

He sent a mesage they understood. Suposedly there were no incidents.

Was this an "Urban Legend?" Did the whole thing actually happen? I really don't know. I knew Mitch before kidney cancer took him out and I think this was exactly what he would have said, and if possible, what he would have done.

I am embarrassed and saddened that there is such a hoopla about us "torturing" arab prisioners by putting underwear on their heads and parading them around naked. YET their real tortures -- their beheading of innocent people, for instance --- seem to raise a lesser outrage.

The bottom line is that I applaud the killing of this evil man. I can not separate the behavior from the person when it gets to the extent it was with him. AND I want to send a message that we will not put up with this kind of crap.

We WILL find them and we WILL kill them.

And I hope that the "do-gooders" of our country will take a careful look at the kind of message we need to send. That they will not hamstring our military in the doing of their job.

WWJD? I don't know. I'll be sure to ask Him when I get there.

For now, let's allow our military to send the message.

Question: How do you tell the difference between Democrats, Republicans and Southern Republicans? The answer can be found by posing the following question:

You're walking down a deserted street with your wife and two small children. Suddenly, an Islamic Terrorist with a huge knife comes around the corner, locks eyes with you, screams obscenities, praises Allah, raises the knife, and charges at you. You are carrying a Glock cal .40, and you are an expert shot.
You have mere seconds before he reaches you and your family.
What do you do?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Democrat's Answer:
Well, that's not enough information to answer the question!
Does the man look poor! Or oppressed?
Have I ever done anything to him that would inspire him to attack?
Could we run away?
What does my wife think?
What about the kids?
Could I possibly swing the gun like a club and knock the knife out of his hand?
What does the law say about this situation?
Does the Glock have appropriate safety built into it?
Why am I carrying a loaded gun anyway, and what kind of message does this send to society and to my children?
Is it possible he'd be happy with just killing me?
Does he definitely want to kill me, or would he be content just to wound me?
If I were to grab his knees and hold on, could my family get away while he was stabbing me?
Should I call 9-1-1?
Why is this street so deserted?
We need to raise taxes, have a paint and weed day and make this happier, healthier street that would discourage such behavior.
This is all so confusing! I need to debate this with some friends for few days and try to come to a consensus.
Vivi,
On one level what you say is true. Life is sacred. However, it is also self rightieous and pretentious of you to admonish this most civil house about morality.
We don't celebrate Sar's death because we are Gods; we celebrate his death because he was a mass murderer and we have to live down here. Got it?
You could have held your sentiments in a different light- a forgiving and understanding one, which would have made them all the more persuasive- but your words were simplistic and 'gotcha'. There was a self serving interest in them- that you were somehow above the fray.
Shame on you for attempting to spread shame.
Vivi;
Thank you. My hand is out and my hat's off to you. You are welcome here in the Cantina and I'm glad you're around.
Well done.
I'm a lot more impressed by you right now than my own writing skills. Everyone gets caught occasionally stepping too far with their intellect and emotion. (never happens to me, does it? Wasn't me who wrote 'mambi pambi lefties' a few posts ago??!! Naaaaww) But Vivi, you just did a rare thing, you listened, self realized, and adjusted. That shows me you have something to say worth listening to.
The Cantina can only be made better with this kind of dialogue.
Glad to have you aboard, Vivi:) The Cantina has room for all shapes, sizes, creeds, colors, political view points, etc. I look forward to your posts to see if I personally can gain some growth from them. We all feed off of and better each other around here. In the end, civility and brotherhood keep this place in check and growing. I, for one, really appreciate your open-mindedness and candid viewpoint. Way more, than say the troll we had a few days ago babbling and spewing whatever he had read on the net as truth. Introspective reflection of what makes us good men (and women), is healthy.
Welcome, and thank you for wiping your feet at the door, friend:)
Yeah, sorry I called you "Vicki". It was early in the morning. I read it wrong. I have trouble seeing before I take my medication for the day.
I AM still glad al-Zarquawi is dead, though. :)
and with any luck, this thread is as dead as he is.
