Albers Cutlery Company

That's what it's all about  Looks like it emerged from the c19th. Did Eric supply the Stag or was it from your Antler shed, Charlie? Very impressed.

Thanks, Will
Eric found it for me, Will!! Some nice pieces!! He knows how to fit it also!!
I remember watching a cutler fitting Stag handles during a tour of the Queen Factory in the good old days!! A lot of sanding it thinner!!! He explained to me, that the more you take off the bottom, the less you lose off the top (the gnarly texture) when you go to finish the knife!!

I hit the katalox with some direct Hi CRI light.

That stuff is beautiful!! Looks tough also!! Interwoven fibers!!

A sweet variation: Eric made me a sample Stag!!! A wonderfully fit and finished knife!!!View attachment 2091183View attachment 2091186
A trade; a mutual benefit to our respective collections!!

I knew Eric was going to hook you up, but... WOW!!! That turned out incredible! You really don't see stag like that too often any more. I thought the little microfiber pouch was a really nice touch. :)

Thanks for sharing the wonderful pictures. :D

Not at all, I’m honored! It pairs stupendously well with the slip that Jeremy made. :)

Ugh… Yea! I hope Eric doesn’t mind me sharing the pic, but you can say there were some setbacks with the material, lol. Two other makers who worked with the same stuff said it was among the most brittle mammoth they had worked with. :(
