mbkr mbkr I hate it when that happens. That was the first thing I did but I see nothing yet. I can’t wait to see all the pictures of this series once they start coming in, very cool cover options.

Thanks Charlie! I believe there are two mesquite knives left as of a moment ago. I always start out planning on doing maybe two different handle materials for a batch, but inevitably my curiosity wins out and I wind up with six varieties LOL!

Mark there were six Himalayan ram's horn knives made. Couldn't go crazy on those as that stuff's expensive! 😲
Really drives the price of the knife up. It is a beautiful material though, I wish I had more.

Thanks for the info, Eric. Can't wait to see it!
Ramrodmb Ramrodmb thank you for the reply, I thought I was the only one, lol.
Just received my shipping notice!

Hey folks! Sorry about the slight delay in getting the knives shipped out. Usually I have them all shipped within two days of posting them but unfortunately I totaled my car Monday so needless to say things have been a little out of sorts for the last two days. I wound up rear ending someone when a bunch of cars suddenly stopped short on the highway. Miraculously no one was hurt although my forearms look like someone took a baseball bat to them from when the airbag went off. All's back to normal though with the exception of being without wheels until I can find something else. Thank goodness the insurance covers the rental!!
I got all the knives in the mail today and yesterday, so they should start arriving in a couple of days. Thanks for hangin' in there!

Corey nice blast from the past!

ea42 ea42 I hope your arms and hands heal quickly, and glad to hear you are generally ok. Prayers sent!

While you are recovering please consider the idea of matched pairs of fixed and folder!

Eric, glad to hear you escaped relatively un-harmed, hope your recuperation is quick and you get back on deck shortly. It does make you realize though how reliant we have become on a set of wheels. 🤝

ea42 ea42 Sorry to hear about the accident, I am really hoping you have a quick recovery. I’ve experienced the burn and impact from the airbag deploying and it’s certainly no joke. I understand its a one man operation and I was mostly excited about the anticipation of the knife making it’s way here more than anything. I second that sentiment about having cover choices matching the slip joints. I was able to get one of your Katalox slip joints from a fellow collector and a matching fixed blade would be awesome.

Thanks guys!! I'm back at the bench already so there hasn't been much down time. Just a lot of paperwork and running around. I'll definitely consider doing some matching sets some time in the future.

Meiggs the airbag was a pretty strange experience. I remember it just going off and then the sensation of my head being enveloped in an incredibly soft pillow. In my mind it seemed to go on forever but I think I was probably knocked a bit senseless for a moment. No burn or injury to my face at all, just my forearms. THAT was pretty crazy and scary. I kid you not for a few minutes it looked like someone had shoved a tennis ball under the skin of my left arm. It was that swollen. Without that bag though I'm sure I'd be in a LOT worse shape right now.

Eric

ea42 ea42 It is definitely a scary experience, but all things considered I’m really glad you are ok and able to get back to the swing of things. I gotta say, this last run had very nice cover options. I was having a hard time choosing but I ended up going with the ironwood burl. To be honest they all looked like winners and am looking forward to the different examples here, congratulations!

Look what I found in the mail box! Thanks ea42 ea42
