Albers Cutlery Company

Eric sure knows how to choose handle material. I've yet to see a knife that doesn't just blow me away. That's beautiful BigKurtHaze BigKurtHaze !

Hey Eric, how are the two blade boys knives coming? Will they be the next drop of slipjoints? I know after the last drop of single blade clip points you mentioned being out of parts.

Fox79 The parts are moving along slowly but surely. I'm presently working on the last 30 fixed blade knives, and once they're done I can start working on the folder parts in earnest. I've already got everything cut for the single blade folders, next step is nail marks and tang stamps. I'll start prepping the small folder blades once I have the clips headed for heat treat. I plan on doing a couple of initial runs of single blades and then switch over to two blades afterward. I'd give it another couple of months before they start rolling out. BTW the secondary blades will be pen blades. Might as well start out full-on traditional.

I want to start developing a new pattern too but I'm totally undecided as to what. Kicking around the idea of a lambsfoot (although they seem to be popping up everywhere now), or maybe a trapper style clip blade/wharrncliffe style. I have to think on it a bit more. There's a LOT of prep involved so whatever I go for has to be a versatile enough pattern that I can switch out blade styles while still making it a legit pattern.

Also considering jacking up the present jack to about 3 5/8". Lots of ideas going through my head LOL.

Viper nice pics!!

Eric, thanks for the update! Those new patterns sound great. One knife you don’t see a lot these days is a coffin Jack. I know whatever you create will be well received by the knife community.

That all sounds freaking awesome, with jacking up the size some of the best news ever! Good luck and keep on going Eric!

I think the lambsfoot would be killer. Who is making a decent lambsfoot at the moment? No one in U.S. that I am aware.

I am sure whatever you decide Eric you will be able to sell all that are made! I know you will get bombarded with ideas, but I just want to plant the idea that a spear point would be a nice variation:)

Yes mate, but not in what one would describe as " Traditional ". Is your message inbox full?

No I believe my Inbox is empty with the exception of one message. I'm definitely not ruling the lambsfoot out, in fact it's still #1 on my list. That particular handle shape lends itself to a lot of other variations too.

Ernie I've already got a spear drawn up for the present knife. :)

Eric

lambsfoot or wharncliffe trapper would be fantastic. Any chance of making these in carbon steel?
