All about Bucklites and Selector's & 110's & 112's LTs and Slims ...

Here's a 422 L.A.F.D. Bucklite with black handles... I didn't get a box or sheath with it...
I think it came with a Black sheath and maybe with a Los Angeles Fire Department logo
on it and maybe on the blade... But I'm not sure... If anyone has one I would love to
see a few pictures of the Blade, the original box and sheath that came with it...
Especially the end of the box... Thanks... ITE

different variations... I need to find one now... Help...

Here's my beater 426 hanging out in the thin branches of a Maple tree. Try that with your big heavy folders!

I've had this knife since I was about 12-13 years old and I did all sorts of stupid with it back then. You can see that the blade tip broke off at some point. I don't remember what I was doing to cause that but I'm sure it was something stupid. It does bother me though. What would you do about it? Grind it down? Send it for replacement? Live with it?

Blade replacements on the plastic handles are problematic. I discussed the practicality with Joe Houser a few years ago and the result was that I gave him a couple 400 series for blade replacement. They both survived, luckily, but I knew that there was a chance that they would not. I won't do it again because the procedure was hard on the handle and I couldn't warm up to the frankenknife.

Shorten the blade by doing a re-profile and you can catch yourself on the point and cut yourself real good. Don't ask me how I know that...

Replace. Very cool 426s come up for auction all of the time. Cool ones. Yup.

My collection of Selectors and Bucklites; really likes the way the Selectors works when changing blades.

Thanks for the info. That's about what I thought. I could never really replace this knife though. We've got too much history. I'll just keep using it as-is and hang on to it. Maybe I'll go searching out another though. Can't ever have too many knives...

The only place to get one is on the bay... That I know of... I need two more...
let me know if you find any... :)

ok, Armand!^
I might need to find a good divorce lawyer first.

Rolf, it took me 7 years to get one orange 426 and a 422 orange one... I need two more of each for my Grandkids...
It looks like the orange 424s are easier to find... and I need two more of them... You should try a 424 it's a great
small knife for the pocket and your wife can't see it so you won't need a good divorce lawyer... LOL ... :)

Armand! I had a Red 424! I gave it to my neighbor... then he screwed me over.
I do carry my Orange 422 in a belt-pouch sheath. I think the 422 is my favorite.
Thanks, man!!

The old style was replaced with the bucklite max series' i belive. Unless you mean the max series is discontinued, then that would suck. I dig the the max series. I got to get the faux orange ones now.
