All about Bucklites and Selector's & 110's & 112's LTs and Slims ...

Mike, I really like your Bucklites... The drop point is sweet... Do you have the Boxes for them...
I see one has brass rivets and one has stainless steel rivets... Well it could just be the pictures...
I should have bought those from you... along time ago... lol ... I need more College and
Advertising Bucklites now... Boy, it sure is hard to find 3 of each different ones...:eek::eek:

:)

Thanks Armand, yes, I have the boxes and papers. I don't think I have seen any other new in box 426 drop point since I bought this one.

Nothing new, but here's my 422 that I got new back in junior high I think. Its cleaned lots of game and that's probably why one of my pups used it for a chew toy since I generally just rinsed it in the creek or with my canteen. I'll have to double check but I think it doesn't have a date mark.

SS, thanks sharing your 422 Bucklite with us... I have few that look like yours...
And they still work great... I use a 422OD one when we go hunting or fishing or
camping or ... 1985-6 no date mark, not sure, because in 84 there was only to
colors... Is yours Black... :)

A real Scoutlite - found in Germany a few weeks ago.

Thanks Stumps, for the cool picture of your 426 Bucklite with that

BG-42 110 blade... Yes I need that one... You got my address... ;)

:)

I talked to Stumps and he said it was a BG-42 Blade...:thumbup::thumbup:

Maybe he will tell us more about it... :)

Here's a really sweet 422 Bucklite Sample or a one of one I think...
This one has a red insert in the handle... It reminds me of the 450
that Buck made with the red insert in the handle and they had a
blue one too... I wonder if they made a Bucklite with a Blue insert...
The hunt is on for me...

422 Sample...

Haebbie, what a great find... Are these hard to come by in Germany...

Yes, Armand, those knives are hard to find. Only the standard Buck knifes are offered (but a lot to expensive). The specials are sold by people who brougt them to Germany from a trip to the U. S. A. or bougt them via ebay in America. If you like to buy Buck specials it is neccessary to open up the eyes and follow the market.

Haebbie, do they have knife shows and gun shows in Germany...

Yes, Armand, we have knife shows and gun shows. But the shows are small, I think you wouldn't go there. The German people are not as interested in weapons as the Americans are - not only because of the strict restrictions. Knives and guns are "bad" and you'll get problems with others if you come out as a weapon fan. I always get comments because of the bowie on my desk in the office and because I always carry a knife.

Haebbie, and I thought we had some tough laws...
You been really lucky to get so many Buck Knives...
Some Bucklites are really hard just to find here in
the USA... Some are easier to find... Anyway you
have some nice Bucklites and some really sweet
Buck knives...

Happy hunting and good luck... Thanks for sharing...

ITE...

Here is a couple pictures of a Buck 2 blade Selector. According to the forums Bucklite specialist Armand (ITE), this is a fairly rare version in that the handle says Bucklite instead of Selector.

Here is my Selector which came out in 1989 and it had that date stamp on it's original blades. Whereas the Bucklite came out around 1984. These handles were interchangeable and like Buck's practice they would interchange items as they were needed. This went on regularly. So, I'll bet there are more around that were put together using Bucklite handles. DM

I also have this OD green Buck Selector with a Bucklite handle. I believe I have shown this one earlier in this thread but will post it again since posting the black handled one above.

These are the only 2 I have seen.

Thanks James, for sharing your new 2 blade Selector/Bucklite...
This is the first Black Bucklite/Selector I've seen... Now I want one
for my collection... I think they needed handles to finish a order
and just grabbed the 426 Bucklite handles or they were just an
early run... I wish I new how many were made... Not many, I'm
sure... I will call Joe Houser and ask him... I would ask Bill Keys...
But he no longer works for BUCK KNIVES... He's the man to ask
about Bucklites and Selector's I was told.... ITE ...
