The more i look at that yuma the more i like it, good score bud!!

Ok check this out guys, I took my drop point RMD blade, used the large becker handle shape, changed the top of the handle to fit my preference and mixed it with the rmd size to design this knife. And i LOVE this design and size, its just wood now but feels great in my hand.... Disregard the "the brotherhood" And those "heat treat" marks LMAO

But....It kind of resembles the yuma... That was honestly never my intention though just being honest i was mixing beckers and swamp rats to get this... but it does remind me of the yuma a little looking at them at the same time... Still some definite differences but id be lying if i said they didnt kind of look a little similar to me.

Yea some... dont think they would be ok with me chopping 1 down though :D

I use to work for my father setting telephone poles before i moved up to directional boring, he has access to them free, but he is florida LMAO, hell my fathers entire property has telephone poles as fence post. Cut at 8 foot each 3 feet in the ground. Talk about a strong fence post :D

Closer to a Tradewater, but yeah. I really really think you need to get a Tradewater in hand before you get your blade made WW. I think you might just find it damn near perfect.

What do ya'll think of these patches, I'm thinking about doing a small run on them. Vinyl black and foliage green Velcro back.

Can't get any effing sleep today. I'm still coughing a bit so I might just call off again tonight. Eff it.

....with the splitting, anyway. You haven't even started with the stacking. Hopefully you have a minion or two to help with that.

I am the minion to help. Hahaha. My dad has a kidney stone on the way right now so I decided to do him a favor and go split and stack this stuff up. It's not like I wasn't the one who was going to do it anyway though.

Man id like to spend a couple hours over there, always more fun when you can stop whenever you want than when its a chore!!

I would have enjoyed the company :D

Anyway I'm done for the most part now.

I like the chopping block, and the handles you made on it. ;)

Put a urinal puck under your pillow. You'll dream about truck stops, but it will cure your cough.

But then it would be a tradewater and not a worldwood LMAO. As of right now its going to be 3V and made with a big 3V chopper. That project starts in January. But id still like to try out a tradewater or yuma.

I think I'll just keep coughing...

So I've has this idea kicking around inside my head for a knife I'd like to see Ka-Bar make that I think would be really cool. Slapped this together in MS pain really quick but you get the idea.

Originally it was based on the classic F/U but I like the guard and pomel of the Extreme more and I thought it might be better out of D2. Or maybe 1095cv would be a better way to go, I dunno, whatever. Basically a FFG centered drop point blade about 5.5" long on the fullsize F/U handle. Had this idea ever since I cut off the top guard on my USMC and realized how good it can be in the woods.

On second thought, it would probably be better with the classic guard and pommel just with the spine side of the guard trimmed off.

Excuse my ignorance but i have had fireplaces but never a wood stove... where does the heat come out if you have the doors closed???

the glass (ceramic) is made to let heat OUT, not like regular windows - lol

also, there's nearly 500 lb of cast iron soaking up heat, which it then radiates out...

the fan on top runs on heat/cold differential
